YouTuber Dream drops his latest video after more than a month and a half without new content, but remains as popular as ever.

Of all the online content creators, few compare to the unprecedented success of Dream over the past year. The YouTuber's Minecraft videos have exploded in popularity, even compared to his initial success. Dream is now pulling in tens of millions of views in a matter of days. With that in mind, when someone like Dream takes a break from content creation, people notice. Yet despite over a month's break from new content, Dream's latest creation is proving fans are just as excited for more videos as ever.

Dream's newest video, published this past week, is named "Minecraft Speedrunner VS 5 Hunters" and is the latest in his ultra-popular series of Dream vs. Hunters videos. Much like previous videos, the premise sees Dream trying to complete Minecraft while five of his friends try and prevent that by killing his avatar. Dream's impressive Minecraft skills, managing to avoid his opponents while speedrunning the game, continue to be the main attraction and this new video is as exciting as those prior.

The latest video from Dream does take a curious turn at the end, however, that differentiates it from previous Minecraft speedruns. As Dream is about to win, marked by him earning the Free the End achievement, the Ender Dragon boss seemingly despawns and disappears. After several seconds of Dream running away from his hunters, wondering what's happened, everyone instead earns a different achievement for killing the Ender Dragon a second time, despite it never seemingly dying the first time. Dream then dies, seemingly losing the match.

Exactly what happened appears to be an intentionally triggered glitch by Dream's hunters. After killing the Ender Dragon, there's a way to respawn it using four crystals placed around the Ender Dragon's central portal in The End. If timed correctly, this can respawn the Ender Dragon as it's dying the first time. That means it respawns as Dream killed it, but before he earned the achievement. Since earning the achievement is how Dream wins, it led to the hunters winning instead.

As for why Dream took so long to upload the new video, that's less clear. His previous video was released March 11, meaning Dream's been away from Youtube for over a month and a half. This is the continuation of a trend, as Dream has been much less active since he was accused of cheating in his Minecraft videos this past December. He's only posted three videos since.

Dream's latest video is likely to only reignite the discourse surrounding whether the YouTuber scripts his hunts. The glitchy ending is such an oddity that some are already questioning whether it was accomplished naturally, rather than by chance. Either way, Dream's video has already accrued 21 million views.

Minecraft is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and mobile devices.
