SMITE unveils details about its upcoming Monstercat Battle Pass, which will feature content themed around several of the EDM label's artists.

SMITE is revealing details about its upcoming Monstercat Battle Pass. The collaborative effort between the popular free-to-play title and music label Monstercat is set to bring music-themed content based on several of the label's artists to the game.

Originally released in 2014 for PC, Hi-Rez Studios' third-person MOBA has steadily spread to additional platforms over the years. The game publisher recently made headlines for implementing a new work-from-home policy that will allow its employees to "work wherever they feel most productive," according to a press release.

The Monstercat Battle Pass will feature electronic artists Slushii, Sullivan King, Noisestorm, and Koven, all of which have accompanying character skins, music themes, and more. For example, Hades will receive a Slushii skin transforming the Greek God of the Underworld into a DJ, while the recently added King Gilgamesh gets a cyberpunk makeover for his Sullivan King cosmetic. The Monstercat Battle Pass also contains four full music themes, allowing players to replace SMITE’s default soundtrack with Monstercat tracks. Players can choose from the upcoming Slushii track “Valhalla,” “Crab Rave” by Noisestorm, Koven’s “Give You Up,” or Sullivan King’s heavy-hitting “Someone Else.”

Each artist skin will feature their music throughout the gameplay experience, replacing the traditional ability sounds with new music tracks. Additionally, Battle Pass purchasers will be able to replace the default announcer voice with Sullivan King's signature growls, as well as launch firework-style dancing crabs in the air. Having attracted over 35 million players, and with the advent of a new collaborative Battle Pass, SMITE doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

SMITE is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
