The racing game Midnight Club: Los Angeles is relisted on the Xbox 360 store for an unknown reason, and Rockstar Games has said nothing about it.

Fans of Rockstar Games' Midnight Club series have been waiting for a new entry since 2008's Midnight Club: Los Angeles. While there have been no updates on the series from Rockstar Games, there has been an odd amount of activity with past entries in the series, including the return of Midnight Club: Los Angeles.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles was delisted from the Xbox 360 store in October 2018. Fans have theorized that the game was pulled because Rockstar Games did not want to renew the licenses to use music throughout the game, or its various real-world cars. The rest of the series has also been delisted from major digital platforms, although Midnight Club 2 briefly returned to Steam this month before quickly being delisted again.

Now, Midnight Club: Los Angeles is available again on the Xbox 360 store. Nothing has been said about the return of the game from either Xbox or Rockstar Games, but the title is available for just $14.99. However, the title has not been relisted on the PlayStation Store or Steam as of this writing. It is not clear whether or not this is an intentional relisting of the game, or whether it will be pulled off the store soon, so fans who have been wondering why there hasn't been a new Midnight Club should get it quickly just in case.

The relisting comes at the tail end of what has been a strange week for Rockstar Games. Not only did Midnight Club 2 get briefly relisted on Steam, but at the same time many Rockstar Games titles simply disappeared from Steam, and there has yet to be any word as to what happened. All of the activity has seen Rockstar fans speculating over what it could mean for the company, but there is very little to go off of.

However, E3 2021 is fast approaching, and with Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive participating, it is possible all of this unorthodox activity is a consequence of the company getting ready for an announcement. It is still unclear what sort of announcements the company will make at the convention, as Rockstar has multiple blockbuster series that all could foster big announcements. Whether it's the much-anticipated announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6 or a new Midnight Club, hopefully Rockstar Games will have something exciting to show to fans.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles is available now on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
