Fortnite releases the last of its Spire quests, and this guide shows how to defeat Glyph Master Raz and collect the Spire Artifact.

Fortnite's v16.30 update patch has arrived, bringing with it new quests, LTMs, and other assorted content. Among the new things Fortnite is adding, perhaps one of the most prevalent is the release of the final batch of quests concerning The Spire.

Epic Games' popular free-to-play battle royale is now entering the second half of its Season 6. The current season, dubbed "Primal," has seen a number of changes to the game's meta, including the addition of fauna for the first time ever, such as chickens, wolves, boars, and even raptors.

Season 6 has also introduced overt map alterations, including the mysterious Spire, new vehicle modification items, and other changes that remain somewhat divisive among fans.

Contrary to some of this season's often tedious secret quests, completing this quest is actually a pretty straightforward task. Once all other Spire quests have been completed, players must then find and defeat the Glyph Master Raz NPC, and pick up the Spire Artifact in his possession. Glyph Master Raz is located at The Spire, the point of interest found at the center of the map, roaming around the base of the actual spire itself.

The NPC has more health and deals more damage than any other character found on the map, so it's extremely advisable that players stock up on shields, decent weapons, and plenty of ammo before taking the boss down. Once defeated, players can pick up the Spire Artifact. However, it's not the only thing Glyph Master Raz drops.

Once players finally manage to defeat the powerful NPC, he will drop not only the Spire Artifact required for the last Spire quest, but a new Mythic weapon as well. The new Mythic, called Raz's Explosive Bow, is the most powerful bow in the entire game. Featuring a speedy reload time of 0.9 seconds, Raz's Explosive Bow also deals the most damage at a deadly 98, several notches higher than the long-range weapon's legendary form.

The addition of the Mythic comes in tandem with a new Exotic, as the Rebirth Raven NPC is now selling the Unstable Bow. While not necessarily as powerful as the new Mythic, the Unstable Bow has the ability to randomly change into one of the four fully upgraded, craftable bow types.

The Unstable Bow continues a recent trend of Fortnite adding new weapons into the game, particularly with bows. In addition to Raz's Explosive Bow and the Unstable Bow, the title also recently added the new Grappler Bow, which, as the name suggests, can grapple onto nearly any surface, all without taking fall damage. The player can obtain the bow by talking to Tomb Raider's Lara Croft, another NPC located in Stealthy Stronghold.

Now that Fortnite's Spire quests are seemingly wrapping up, it should be interesting to see what Epic Games does with the rest of the season. While details about the future of Season 6 remain scarce, things may already be secretly in motion, as the clock in Boney Burbs has begun ticking. This has caused fans to wildly speculate about what the ticking could mean for the location, or even the map as a whole.

Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
