The creators of Sonic the Hedgehog and Nights into Dreams will soon be releasing their first project under Square Enix in the form of bizarre 3D platformer Balan Wonderworld. With the Balan Wonderworld release date just a couple of months away, Square Enix has released a new gameplay trailer that should give fans of the platforming genre a better idea of what to expect from the final product.
Like previous Balan Wonderworld trailers, this latest gameplay trailer is full of bright colors and weird imagery. It showcases some boss fight encounters, platforming challenges, and some of the costumes that players will have to acquire if they hope to make their way through the game. There are over 80 Balan Wonderworld costumes in the final game, though, so the trailer really only offers a small taste of the costumes players will be able to get their hands on.

Anyone intrigued by the new Balan Wonderworld trailer should note that they can actually try the game early. A Balan Wonderworld demo is available now across all platforms, allowing platforming fans to try the game ahead of its planned March 26 release date. Like the trailer, it will give players a small taste of what to expect, but it should give fans a pretty good idea if this is a game they want to keep an eye on.
Ever since Balan Wonderworld's announcement last year, the game has been turning heads. Whether or not it can stick the landing remains to be seen, but fans will find out in a couple of months.
Balan Wonderworld launches March 26 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
