Toys for Bob, the developer behind Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, will be supporting development for Call of Duty: Warzone.

A number of development studios have worked together to develop and support the Call of Duty games. Infinity Ward is the original developer of the franchise, having developed the first Call of Duty title in 2003. Since then, Call of Duty has become one of the biggest gaming franchises, leading to developers such as Treyarch, Sledgehammer Games, and Raven Software getting involved in their development. Now, a small American development studio is joining the roster.

In an Instagram post, Toys for Bob announced that the studio will be supporting development for Call of Duty: Warzone. The studio will help out with Season 3 of the battle royale title, which released on April 21. With both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players able to play battle royale mode for free, extra development support will ensure the game runs smoothly and that bugs are addressed quickly.

Like most live-service game seasons, Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 launched with a few bugs including issues with the Hunt for Adler event and text bugs, but were quickly fixed within a couple days. With Toys for Bob supporting Season 3 of Warzone, patches and updates may be released more quickly and effectively. Toys for Bob is a small studio consisting of 180 employees, but has put out many impressive projects including the Star Control series, the Skylanders series, and recently remastered Spyro and Crash Bandicoot titles.

Toys for Bob was acquired by Activision in 2005, and was tasked with development of licenses Activision received from the merger with Vivendi Games. The merger gave Activision rights to both Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, iconic characters who have regained popularity thanks to the recent Toys for Bob remakes. The most recent project by Toys for Bob was Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.

Call of Duty: Warzone will be a very different project than what the studio is used to developing. However, Toys for Bob is teeming with experience and will also have support from both Raven Software and Infinity Ward. Toys for Bob didn't reveal exactly what role the studio will be taking on, but assisting in support for the battle royale title is still a tall order.

Toys for Bob could be potentially working on a couple of projects along with Call of Duty: Warzone. Easter eggs in Crash Bandicoot 4 may hint at a Spyro 4 title in development, since an in-game art book showed the lovable purple dragon. However, there has been no official announcement of development, so for now it looks like Toys for Bob's focus will be on Call of Duty.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
