Real-time strategy game Iron Harvest is announcing its next batch of DLC. Called Operation Eagle, the new Iron Harvest content will see the USA-equivalent American Union of Usonia to the alternate-timeline version of the aftermath of the first World War.
The premise of King Arts Games’ RTS title Iron Harvest is a pretty interesting one: an alternate-history version of 1920s Europe where conflicts are fought using giant dieselpunk mechs. The game's last major bit of post-launch content came in the form of the Rusviet Revolution DLC, which consisted of a new post-campaign storyline spread across four single player and co-op missions.

The introduction of the Operation Eagle announcement trailer begins subtly. Viewers will see and hear a nature setting on a cliffside, where what appears to be a sheepherder is tending to his flock. A sudden foghorn breaks the quaint setting, with the herder looking out into the adjacent valley to see an armada of dieselpunk zeppelins. The expansive fleet can be seen flying through the valley towards plumes of black smoke on the horizon, with a line of aircraft leading the brigade with patriotic red-white-and-blue smoke trails. The new Iron Harvest add-on DLC will add not only the new Usonia Faction and campaign, but also new flying units, structures, and defenses for all factions, and other substantial pieces of new content.
It should be noted that Operation Eagle is considered Iron Harvest's "first add-on," meaning the expansion will cost players $19.99. While new content for the game is surely welcomed, fans are still waiting on updates on another title from publisher Deep Silver, Dead Island 2. In a response to colleague Techland's recent Dying Light 2 update, the publisher claims that the four-year delayed title "is coming out," but that it can't yet say as to exactly when.
Iron Harvest is available for PC.
