The Art of Street Fighter Hardcover edition gets a release date as Capcom begins to open pre-orders of the art book to the public.

Pre-orders have begun for a new art book related to Capcom, most specifically looking at the art surrounding the Street Fighter franchise over the years. This means that this previously announced art book that chronicles Street Fighters' characters and related art now has a release date for fans of the long-running series to look forward to.

The book, titled The Art of Street Fighter HC, is being developed in partnership with UDON Entertainment as a hardcover edition of several artbooks that have previously focused on artwork made by and for Capcom. However, this Street Fighter specific edition will also have its own exclusive content apart from any of the previous releases fans can find on the online store.

According to the newly available pre-order, The Art of Street Fighter HC is expected to ship on July 20th, 2021, with shipping options getting the art book to fans within the week in most locations. The reason for this all going through shipping is that even though its a physical copy of a hardcover book, this specific item is an online exclusive with UDON Entertainment and isn't set to release in stores. So, any fans looking to get a inside look at Street Fighter's characters and other artwork will have to go through the online store as long as it retains this exclusivity.

The art book itself will contain 488 pages worth of artwork, including character designs, sketches, and pin-up, as well as a new collectible card and an exclusive poster. This collectable is a brand new metal card depicting Street Fighter's classic fighter Guile and comes as a limited edition item that will only be available at launch with the art book. Additionally, the included poster boasts a unique view of the Shadaloo Headquarters, with a reversible view that lets fans choose either English text or the original Japanese labeling for each section of the infamous location.

For games with as stylized characters as Street Fighter's roster of fighters, an art book is exactly the type of thing to get fans excited to look back and relive some of the best spectacles of the series. However, the current price point for the book, standing at $100 for the pre-order, will likely keep this as a collector's item for as long as UDON Entertainment keeps it as an online exclusive. That being said, there are plenty of fans looking to take in as much Street Fighter memorabilia as they can, and some of the incredible work being shown off in The Art of Street Fighter is exactly the type of thing collectors are immediately drawn to.
