PlayStation 5 exclusive game Destruction AllStars details its first season of content, adding a new character and more to the mix.

Destruction AllStars is significant for being one of the few true PlayStation 5 exclusive games available, even though it earned mixed reviews at the time of its release. Since its somewhat rocky launch, developer Lucid Games has worked to improve the Destruction AllStars experience, addressing technical issues with the game and taking note of fan feedback when making changes. Now the developer has detailed its plans for Destruction AllStars Season 1: Hotshots, which will see plenty of new content added to the live service vehicular combat game.

Lucid Games has released a new trailer for Destruction AllStars Season 1, detailing exactly what fans can expect. Destruction AllStars Season 1 is now live in the game, adding the new playable character Alba and her specialized vehicle, along with a Story Mode that should give fans further insight into her as a character. Story Mode is replacing Destruction AllStars' Challenger Series starting with Season 1.

Today also marks the release of the first Destruction AllStars Season Pass. Called the AllStar Pass, the Destruction AllStars take on the concept should be familiar to anyone that has played a live service game. Throughout the season, players will earn XP to level up the AllStar Pass, allowing them to earn some cosmetic rewards in the process.

On May 19, fans can look forward to the next big update for Destruction AllStars in Season 1, which will see the addition of a Photo Mode along with a Story Mode for the character Ratu. Then on June 2, the new game mode Blitz will be added to Destruction AllStars' list of match types. Blitz is a mode where four teams of three fight with all completely unique characters. The hope is that this will result in a more tactical style of match type for the game.

The next Story Mode will come on June 9, with Boxtop getting her time in the spotlight, followed by Angelo's Story Mode on July 7. Throughout the months of May and July, Destruction AllStars players can also look forward to special playlists that will be available in the game for a limited time.

Destruction AllStars reviews were mixed at the time of its release, but the developers have made a concerted effort to address criticisms and ensure that the game is easily accessible to PS5 gamers. Not only was Destruction AllStars a free PS Plus game for two months, but its purchase price was reduced dramatically. This should ensure that anyone interested in checking out the game's Season 1 of content can do so without making any kind of major financial commitment.

Destruction AllStars is out now, exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
