Reddit user GABSI1 posted an image of a conversation from his Activision account. In the image, a friend of the Reddit post author had a short conversation with the stolen account's current owner requesting for the account back. The player knew that his Call of Duty: Warzone account had been hacked, but he did not realize the depth of what had happened. In the conversation, the hacker claims that he purchased the account from someone and offers to sell it back for $30 in BitCoin. While there is no way to verify this conversation is authentic, it has spread among the community as a concern due to the comments below the post.

While this post does not serve as solid evidence, it has raised concerns among many community members in the comments. Call of Duty: Warzone hackers have plagued the game since launch, and stolen accounts can mean the loss of hours of gameplay. While many fans suggest 2-factor authorization as a solution, mand players have struggled to make it work for their accounts.

The community believes that this is a security problem on Activision's end. Players do not need to worry about being hacked if the developers had more safeguards in place, or that is the theory at least.
