Shiver Snowfields (Night) is home to some of New Pokemon Snap's best Pokemon, but finding them all can be tricky due to the course's alternate routes.

Unlocking the Shiver Snowfields (Night) course in New Pokemon Snap is fairly simple, with players just needing to reach research level 2 in the daytime version of the course to do so. Seeing everything that the course has to offer, however, will be quite the opposite. There are 27 different types of Pokemon to track down and photograph and two alternate routes to uncover; one of which must first be unlocked in Shiver Snowfields (Day).

Thankfully, Snowfields (Night) is one of several courses in New Pokemon Snap that max out after reaching research level 2, although given the number of runs it will likely take to hunt down everything, that won't help the average player all too much. There is a Legendary Pokemon for players to find after they've completed the main story though, as well as one of the more popular Eeveelutions, Glaceon.

  • Mightyena - There are Mightyena scattered throughout the opening area of the course as well as at the top of the first hill. Annoyingly, players will have to wait for them to move before they can pass through the starting field.
  • Snorunt - There'll be a pair of Snowrunt over to the player's left right at the very start of the course. More show up later too, on both the default and second alternate routes.
  • Piplup - Players will see a Piplup pretty much as soon as they spawn in. There are more near the default and alternate exits of the course as well.
  • Furret - Furret can be found in the field in which players begin as well as on the steep hill they travel up shortly after. If players unlocked the first alternate route in Snowfields (Day), they'll also see one being chased by a Weavile near the entrance to the second alternate route once they hit research level 2.
  • Braviary - There's a Braviary in the starting area and another one off in the distance at the top of the big hill. The best photo opportunity arguably comes near the course's default exit though, as the NEO-ONE passes quite near to one that is sleeping.
  • Frosmoth - Players will be able to see a Frosmoth not long after they travel up the steep hill near the start of the course. There's also one in the big cavern on the default route and another fluttering around at the default end of the course.
  • Abomasnow - There's an Abomasnow up on the hill just before players drop down the second steep hill. One also shows up near the default exit and another can be found if players pass through the snow wall at the start of the course (assuming, that is, that they unlocked this route in the daytime variant of the course).
  • Delibird - There's a Delibird in the area just before players drop down the steep hill and a few more at the end of the course too. At research level 2, there'll also be one right at the beginning of the course.
  • Jynx - If players peer down into one of the cracks at the top of the steep hill, they'll be able to see a pair of Jynx below them. More show up in the caverns on both the default and second alternate routes and, at research level 2, there's one riding an Avalugg in the area near the alternate exit.
  • Alolan Sandslash - If players hit the dark blue spikes sticking out of the ground with a Fluffruit, an Alolan Sandslash will pop out. There are some in the area at the top of the steep hill and some will also show up in the starting area at research level 2.
  • Vanilluxe - There's a Vanilluxe in the big cavern on the default route and another in the cavern on the second alternate route.
  • Spheal - There are quite a few Spheal in the area near the course's default exit.
  • Alolan Vulpix - Alolan Vulpix can be found near the default exit of the course. As in the daytime though, it's best to hold off on trying to get a diamond rated photo until reaching research level 2 as it becomes far less timid.
  • Mamoswine - There's a Mamoswine chilling out in the hot spring to the left of the course's default exit.
  • Swinub - There are some Swinub in the final area of the course near the default exit.
  • Snom - There are Snom in the big cavern on the default route and more on the trees just past the snow wall at the start of the course.
  • Froslass - There's a Froslass in the cavern on the default route. Players can get another to show up by hitting the Crabominable that's just through the first snow wall with an Illumina Orb before it punches the tree near Abomasnow. If players photograph the Froslass, it will then pass through a second snow wall and unlock a new route for both the daytime and nighttime versions of the course.
  • Crabominable - There are Crabominable on the other side of the first snow wall as well as near the alternate exit to the course.
  • Glaceon - After passing through the first snow wall, Glaceon can be seen sleeping high up on a ledge above Abomasnow. If players wake it by throwing Illumina Orbs at it and taking its picture, it will also show up near the default exit. They'll have to do something similar though if they want it to come down to ground level.
  • Weavile - Weavile starts to show up once players hit research level 2. It can be seen chasing a Furret near the second snow wall.
  • Vivillon - There are Vivillon in the cavern behind the second snow wall and more out over the water a little further ahead.
  • Cubchoo - Cubchoo can be found on the right hand side of the big cavern on the alternate route and right near the alternate exit.
  • Aurorus - There's an Aurorus frozen in the ice in the same cavern as the Cubchoo. If players lure the sleeping Jynx near enough to the Crystabloom and then hit the flower with an Illumina Orb, the two Jynx will rescue the stranded Aurorus from its icy prison. If done correctly there will then be two Aurorus near the alternate exit rather than just one.
  • Dewgong - Dewgong can be found swimming around in the water near the alternate exit.
  • Avalugg - There are a few Avalugg out in the water near the alternate exit, one of which is being ridden by a Jynx.
  • Beartic - Beartic shows up on an iceberg that's floating in the water near the alternate exit.
  • Suicune - To find Suicune, players will need to have completed the game and unlocked both of the alternate routes in Shiver Snowfields. After doing so, they'll need to pass through both snow walls and then make their way to the water section and look for the Jynx riding an Avalugg. Hitting this Jynx with an Illumina Orb will make it summon Suicune, who will come running across the water towards players after about ten seconds. If players hit it with an Illumina Orb, it will stop and allow them to take photos. If not, it will run straight past and then stand above the course's alternate exit staring down at the player.
