Niantic Labs confirms that Pokemon GO's June Community Day will focus on a popular and often requested Ground and Dragon-type Pokemon.

Niantic Labs has celebrated Pokemon GO's community countless times since the mobile game released way back in 2016 and the developers have officially unveiled what trainers can expect from Pokemon GO's community day in June.

Pokemon GO's community for June takes place on June 6th and it focuses on the Ground and Dragon-type Pokemon Gible. Gible is a Pokemon GO fan favorite and the little Dragon is typically quite rare in the game, but his spawn rate will be increased for June's community day.

Gible is considered a rare Pokemon in Pokemon GO, and Niantic Labs gave trainers several days of advanced notice in order for them to load up on Pokeballs, Great Balls, etc. Niantic Labs confirmed the date for Pokemon GO's June Community Day and unveiled Gible as the featured Pokemon in a recent tweet on the official Pokemon GO Twitter account.

Pokemon GO trainers have nearly a month to prepare for the next community day, giving the trainers enough time to load up on incense and incubators as well. The Pokemon Community Day on June 6th will run from 11:00 AM ET to 5:00 PM ET and it will also feature Gible's fully evolved form, Garchomp, who has an event-exclusive move to celebrate Community Day.

In addition to finding a unique Garchomp, Pokemon GO trainers will also have an increased chance of catching Shiny Gible during Pokemon GO's June Community Day. Gible is among the pseudo-Legendary Pokemon like Dratini, Larvitar, and Bagon who all received Pokemon GO Community Day's of their own. This fittingly makes Garchomp one of the stronger Ground-type Pokemon and the combination of Dragon-typing makes it a powerful Pokemon to have for Master League PVP battles, raids, and gym battles.

Niantic Labs made it possible to locate Shiny Gible back in December of 2019, but Pokemon GO trainers will have an increased chance of finding this elusive shiny next month.

Pokemon GO's May Community Day is set for Saturday, May 15th and it will run during the same hours as June's Community Day. May's Community Day focuses on the less rare Pokemon Swablu and its final evolution, Altaria. Mega Altaria will also be a prominent Pokemon GO staple beyond May's Community Day which suggests that Mega Garchomp will be included as part of June's Community Day celebration.

Niantic Labs has only teased Pokemon GO trainers with what to expect from June's Community Day which potentially suggests that trainers can expect more goodies when it finally happens next month. While Niantic Labs has yet to confirm what else trainers can expect from the next Pokemon GO Community Day, the celebration is a mere thirty days away.

Pokemon GO is available right now for Android and iOS.
