Ubisoft has announced a new crossover between one of its most popular new titles of 2020 with the video game version of the classic card game UNO, that the developer has published to every console for multiple generations. The new title is a strange choice at first, but fans of Immortals: Fenyx Rising rising will definitely get a kick out of seeing a new themed deck incorporate the game's Greek mythology in a new DLC mode.
This announcement came with a brand new trailer for the Immortals: Fenyx Rising inspired DLC for UNO that not only adds a few new decorations to the cards, but a host of new rules. Altogether, for fans of UNO, or streamers and content creators looking to make movie-length videos out of the game that can potentially have no end, this might be an interesting twist on the core mechanics.

The new game mode comes in the form of a DLC pack that assigns each player to the cursed gods Athena, Ares, Aphrodite, and Hephaistos, who all bring their own personal tricks to the game. In addition to these deific avatars, the new pack also adds two new action cards focused on Immortals: Fenyx Rising's antagonist Typhon and the protagonist Fenyx. Each of these new cards can help players either add more cards to their opponents' hands, or burn through their own hand faster than would normally be possible in a single turn.
Players can either pick up this new game mode as an additional DLC if they already own Ubisoft's UNO, or it is also available to anyone who already has the UNO Ultimate Edition. The Ultimate Edition also comes with UNO Flip, so fans that want to put a new twist on the classic game might be better off grabbing the value pack with everything together. However, when it comes to fans of Ubisoft's new open world Immortals: Fenyx Rising has tons of crossovers already, and it doesn't look like that will end anytime soon, so there should be plenty of new Fenyx content to come as well.
Ubisoft is clearly looking to expand Immortals: Fenyx Rising, both through upcoming DLC and by extending the brand into other projects for added name recognition. If this means that the character and this new style of open-world for the developer will be getting more content though, then fans are certainly all for it. Hopefully a new UNO game mode is only the tip of the iceberg for what Ubisoft has planned for taking this new IP to Assassin's Creed-level heights.
UNO is available on Mobile, PC, PS3, PS4, PS5, Switch, Stadia, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
