A Call of Duty: Warzone burger place is being highlighted by fans for having insane prices that only grow stranger when inflation is added.

When Call of Duty: Warzone traveled back into the 1980s, major changes were made to the map. The dam disappeared, several buildings were deconstructed, and each town was reverted to an earlier stage of development. Many Call of Duty: Warzone fans have found relics of the future scattered across the game.

Historically speaking, fast food did not enter the USSR territories officially until the early 90s. Several fast-food giants were in negotiations for opening foreign branches, but that did not mean that it had become commonplace. Despite this, several fast-food burger restaurants still scatter the landscape of Call of Duty: Warzone's 1984 Verdansk.

As a player was investigating the menu, they noticed that the prices had remained the same. This shifts the Call of Duty: Warzone cash to a different time and makes the food outrageously expensive. The post was made by Qlkov on Reddit, where the player points out that the USSR had an average salary of 193.2 rubles. With $1 USD equalling 0.64 rubles, then the average burger in Verdansk priced at roughly $40 USD. This is, of course, without fries or a drink.

Expanding their math further makes this number even more outrageous in Call of Duty: Warzone's world. In 1994, 1 ruble was the equivalent of 170.48 rubles modern day. That makes the price of a burger in rubles around 5,114 rubles or $68 USD in modern currency. While the USD has stayed fairly consistent, the Russian ruble has expanded massively since its original use.

All of this is, of course, for the cheapest burger on the menu. Other items only increase in price, and everything seems to be sold individually at this establishment. While Call of Duty: Warzone's Verdansk does not have many dining options, it would be crazy for anyone to eat out with these set prices. Still, it is not surprising that the price would increase over time, but in the 1980's the average burger only costing around $1 USD with combo options for only a few bucks more.

It should be noted that this is not due to the reality of the map itself. Many Call of Duty: Warzone map details have remained the same despite the transfer back in time. From street signs referencing the dam to this menu, pieces of the future are mixed in with the 1984 version of Verdansk. This burger situation is only part of many strange anomalies scattered across the revised map.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
