A new season of content may have begun in Call of Duty: Warzone, transporting players to a new Verdansk in 1984, but the game is still not completely free of glitches and hackers. One such bug is allowing players to slip through the floor in certain parts of the Verdansk map, allowing them to rack up easy kills by shooting upwards. And at least one hacker has come up with a way to take out their opponents by shooting at the floor.

This is demonstrated in a clip below from RaytheGreat, a streamer who was playing Call of Duty: Warzone recently. During a match, Ray was taken out by an opposing player. But upon watching the replay from the other player's perspective, we can see that the player wasn't targeting Ray at all. They instead shot at the ground, which apparently meant the bullets ricocheted off the floor and into Ray, killing him.

It's currently not clear if this is a widespread problem yet but, if one hacker is capable of doing it, it wouldn't be surprising if others figured it out too or if the means of doing it has been shared with other hackers. Not that hackers aren't spoiled for choice. Back in March, it was reported that some hackers were capable of ending matches straight away.

Hacking has been a consistent problem within the Call of Duty community for a while now. Warzone does have anti-cheat software to prevent this happening but the fact that it doesn't seem to deter or even stop cheaters and hackers means Activision has been met with criticism from its players. The publisher has caught cheaters and issued multiple ban waves in the past, but it feels like these banned players keep finding ways to come back.

Hopefully, with more and more of Activision's own studios working on the game, it will be able to better curb the cheating problem. As it stands, at least nine studios are contributing to the development of Warzone or the Call of Duty franchise in general. Most recently, Toys for Bob joined as a support studio for Warzone, although this sparked fears that this would mean Toys for Bob won't develop its own games anymore.

As far as new content goes, Activision had previously teased that Rambo would be joining Warzone as a playable character. He'll apparently arrive later this month and his inclusion has already got fans speculating what other crossover characters could make an appearance.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
