Of all the classes available in BioWare's Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, the Adept could be the perfect choice for some players.

In Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, players will be able to choose from six classes. The available classes offer a wide range of specialties, from traditional gunplay to different special abilities. Some gamers are undoubtedly planning their versions of Commander Shepard for the impending remastered collection. While some players are more interested in using guns and tech abilities, the biotic powers of the Adept class can be potent. In Mass Effect: Legendary Editionthe Adept class could be the perfect choice for some. While it lacks the weapons training of some other archetypes, the Adept can become a powerful combatant on the battlefield.

Fans of the Mass Effect have been getting excited over the upcoming release of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. The remastered collection features the original trilogy of games along with a host of quality of life changes. BioWare recently released a cover art creator, which has been adding to the hype levels of the collection. Gamers are excited to step into the role of Commander Shepard again and experience the trilogy's finest moments. For some players, the Adept could be the best class to experience the trilogy's story all over again.

One of the most distinguishing elements of the Adept class is that they are fully focused on using biotic powers. While the Adept in the original versions of the game can use weapons, they only have light weaponry available to them. In this respect, Adepts are wildly different to play when compared with the likes of Mass Effect's Soldier class. The Soldier and some other hybrid classes focus on using guns, whereas the Adept often doesn't even need a traditional firearm.

As seen with the biotic squad members of the Mass Effect trilogy, these powers can be formidable in combat. The Adept class in Mass Effect focuses solely on using biotic abilities. Adepts can use a variety of abilities to harm enemies, such as Warp, which tears away at opponents with damage over time. Adepts can also use Throw to hurl their foes backward while injuring them. Adepts excel with using their biotic abilities to dish out damage, and all the while, they have access to light weapons as a backup, or while their abilities are recharging.

While the Adept is a force to be reckoned with in an offensive capacity, they are more than capable of fulfilling a supporting role in combat as well. Adepts can use abilities like Stasis to temporarily remove enemies from combat, which could give the player and team members some room to maneuver. Adepts can also use Pull to draw enemies closer to the friendly firing line, which can expose enemies to your companions' offensive powers. For players who are looking to deal some damage and also support their squad members in Mass Effectthe Adept is a good, versatile choice of class.

In Mass Effect 3 specifically, the versatility of the Adept is bolstered even further. The final game of the original trilogy introduced power combos, which is an effect that combines the power of two abilities and causes major damage to enemies. Biotic explosions are one such combo power, and they can do a great deal of damage to Commander Shepard's foes. With the Adept's wide breadth of powers, they're perfect for both setting up and detonating biotic explosions. With an Adept Commander Shepard and a powerful biotic like Jack in tow, players can take down enemy forces quickly using biotic explosions.

What's more, is that these combo powers can work with other ability types as well. Fire, cryo, electric, and biotic attacks have various combinations with each other and can trigger powerful effects. Thanks to the Adept class' access to a large number of powers, they can be excellent at priming and detonating a variety of combos. Adepts work well with tech-based party members especially, thanks to tech classes having access to cryo and fire talents. The Adept has great synergy with other ability-based classes, and this synergy can lead players to great success in combat.

Several notable changes are coming to the remastered collection, and Mass Effect: Legendary Edition's combat will be tweaked. One of the biggest gameplay changes is the removal of class-based weapons restrictions. Previously, Adepts were limited to using light weapons, except for Mass Effect 3, where their weapon restrictions were lifted. In Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, players will be able to outfit their Adept with any weapons they like to use. This could add a whole new level of usefulness to the Adept class.

While Adepts will be able to use any weapon they want, players should be aware that weapons affect ability cooldown rates. Heavier weapons will harshly and negatively affect the Adept's cooldown times, so players should be mindful of this. Adepts with access to more weapons could make for some interesting character builds, but considering the Adept class' power lies within their biotic abilities, it would be best for gamers to strike a balance. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition has a lot of changes, and loosening weapon restrictions could prove to be a great backup for the Adept class.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition has all the classes of the original trilogy. All the new changes could give a fresh feeling to the acclaimed trilogy's combat. While some players will prefer the likes of the Vanguard in Mass Effect for its combination of gunplay and abilities, the Adept is a perfect choice for some gamers. Adepts provide excellent offense, enemy debilitation, and synergy with other classes. The Adept is a great choice for those who wish to be a team player and switch roles on the battlefield as it's needed.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is set for release on May 14, 2021, on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
