Scarlet Nexus' demo is set to arrive later this month, coming first to the Xbox Series X before it joins PlayStation consoles.

With Scarlet Nexus slated to release on June 25, fans are more excited than ever to get their hands on Bandai Namco's latest action-packed adventure. Luckily, they'll be able to secure themselves an early look at the game thanks to a brand new demo slated to release later this month, with the publisher revealing the preview will come first to Xbox Series X.

The announcement came via a tweet from the official Scarlet Nexus Twitter account, revealing its timed exclusivity to Microsoft's platform as well as a brief look at the demo's main menu, which features protagonists Yuito and Kasane. Bandai Namco later confirmed on its Spanish Twitter account that the preview would be launching on May 21 for Xbox Series X and May 28 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

There are currently few details on what to expect from the early look at the game, but coverage of the game suggests it'll be an action-packed experience. After all, pre-release footage has been filled with crazy battles, fast-paced combat, and creepy enemies, showing players go head to head with an array of mutated foes using psionic abilities. It stands to reason that the demo will allow players to get a taste of Scarlet Nexus' high-octane combat, as well as some of the twisted opponents they'll have to face throughout their adventure.

For those who missed out on the game's reveal, Bandai Namco's latest experience takes place in a world where humanity has managed to unlock the secrets of psionic power, granting people the ability to use their minds as weapons. However, the major scientific advancement is quickly met with a strange side effect, as mutants descended from the sky with the intention of killing and devouring Earth's inhabitants. Known as The Others, players will spend the game fighting back against this ominous threat, playing through two stories from the perspectives of Yuito and Kasane.

Yuito is a psionic soldier from a political family and Kasane is a mysterious ranger, who's gained a lot of notoriety for her powers. The tales of both characters will interweave throughout the adventure, with Bandai Namco hinting that only through playing both campaigns will players understand the full story. Scarlet Nexus already looks to be one of Bandai Namco's biggest games of 2021, although the publisher still has a lot up its sleeve. It's slated to distribute Subnautica: Below Zero in just a few days, while it's also got Guilty Gear StriveDigimon Survive, Tales of Arise, and The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes coming later this year.

Scarlet Nexus is set to debut on June 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
