Hot on the trail of the release of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, the original voice cast comes together for a reunion on YouTube.

Ever since its original release in 2007, BioWare's Mass Effect series has gone on to define a generation of sci-fi action-RPGs over its four main installments. The adventures of Command Shepard and the crew of the Normandy have enticed millions of fans around the world. With the release of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, fans both new and old will be able to experience the story all again. Also, fans will soon be able to watch a live reunion with many of the original voice cast for  the games.

Just launched today, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition collects the three main games in the series into one package for players. Each game is remastered, with several visual enhancements and gameplay adjustments to create a unified experience through the trilogy. With the announcement that Mass Effect 4 is on its way, this collection is a great way for players to catch up with the series.

In anticipation of the release of the Legendary Edition, the original voice actress for the female Commander Shepard, Jennifer Hale, announced a cast reunion would happen on her YouTube channel. The livestream will feature several cast members and developers for the game, and will be moderated by Ash Sevilla. The reunion will feature cast members like Mark Meers, the voice for male Commander Shepard, and Ali Hillis, who played Liara T'Soni in Mass Effect and Mass Effect 3.

Other actors joining the reunion stream are Kimberly Brooks, who played Ashley Williams; Courtney Taylor, who voiced Jack; Fred Tatasciore, the voice of Saren Arterius; and several more. Sevilla has also confirmed that Seth Green, "Joker," will join the stream. The live cast reunion is expected to air this Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 12:00PM Pacific Time.

While there will be plenty of cast members to hear from, several members of the development team will make an appearance as well. There will be developers from the original trilogy in addition to developers that worked on the Legendary Edition that just released. For example, fans will be able to hear from Mac Walters, the writer and director of the Legendary Edition. Maybe players will be able to get more insight into the infamous ending for the Mass Effect trilogy, and how this new remastered collection might change fans' feelings about it.

After the stream ends, fans will also be able to make their way to Streamily to get digital autographs from the cast and dev team. On the bright side, since this reunion is airing on YouTube, fans that can't watch live will still be able to go back and watch the event later.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
