No Man's Sky includes a wealth of customization options for people that want to alter their appearance, title, or spruce up their base. To purchase these items, players will need the secondary currency called Quicksilver. Finding Quicksilver can be a painstaking process for explorers that do not know where to look.
This guide will cover all of the different ways to get Quicksilver, as well as how to purchase customization items in-game. Explorers will need more than 200k Quicksilver to purchase all of the items from Quincy in the Anomaly. Using the methods below, gamers will have all the Quicksilver they need in no time.

Many in the community know that there are daily Quicksilver missions to complete in the Anomaly. Each mission rewards 450 Quicksilver when completed. The reward will stack if explorers complete all the missions within a couple of days. Still, for the time and effort, they are not the fastest way to accrue the currency. Even with stacked rewards, it will take more than one hundred missions to unlock all Quincy Items.

However, players that prefer questing over the resource farming grind will eventually get enough Quicksilver to purchase a few of the items they desire. Now that the Community Research missions are gone, daily missions are one of just a few ways to get Quicksilver. Players will need to get out of the Nexus before the mission timer runs out. Once the mission is done, gamers will want to make sure they turn it in and save, as the game will not autosave during it. Every ten minutes, the Nexus quests will update, providing a different objective to complete.
Explorers that are able to complete a mission fast enough can return to the Anomaly and initiate the same mission once again. Ten minutes is a tight time frame, but the stack rewards are decent enough if players can do two quests in under 20 minutes. Also, the mission will be a cakewalk the second time around. Gamers that are completing the Nexus missions should always aim to finish them under the ten-minute mark. If all three are completed in under ten minutes, gamers will get 2,100-2,900 Quicksilver for less than half an hour of game time.

The only catch is that once all missions are complete, it will take a week for the challenges to reappear. The best mission available is called Scourge Cleansing. All players will need to do is destroy several waves of enemies in their spaceship and return to the Anomaly. All of the enemy ships will be in close proximity, so the commute will be around 30 seconds.
There is yet another way to farm Quicksilver in No Man's Sky. Explorers will want to visit the Elucid Portal and enter the symbols listed below in chronological order.
- Bird
- Sunrise
- Boat
- Whale
- Tri-force
- Face
- Tipi
- Tri-force
- Bird
- Tri-force
- Starship
- Crescent Moon
Once on the other end of the portal, gamers will want to fly into the Anomaly and save before looking for Stellar Ice. There is a deposit that will consistently spawn in the system. To locate the Stellar Ice, gamers will need to exit the Anomaly and turn slightly to the left before turning on the pulse engines. After 8-1o seconds, a bright pink asteroid cluster will appear. The ice has around a ten percent chance to contain 100 Quicksilver. Anyone that has completed the three daily challenges can use this method to collect approximately 500-800 Quicksilver per hour. While it is more time-consuming in the short term, there is no limit to the amount that can be collected each week. As an added bonus, even if players do not find Quicksilver, the Stellar Ice will drop valuable items that can be sold to the galactic trader.
The NPC that sells items in exchange for Quicksilver is named the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion (QCS or Quincy). Quincy sells a ton of different cosmetic items for ships, bases, and characters. Sadly, a few of the items will only be available to gamers that completed a few of the community research missions while they were still active. The items nearly every explorer will want are the Polo, Artemis, Apollo, Nada, -null-, and Atlas figurines. Each of the figurines provides a specific buff to the starship, which are listed below.
- Polo Figurine: increases ship maneuverability
- Nada Figurine: increases launcher efficiency
- Atlas Figurine: increased ship hyperdrive range
- Apollo Figurine: increases gun damage
- -null- Figurines: increased shield capability
Players need to keep in mind that the base building items are not purchased from Quincy. The robot sells the blueprint and each of the items will need to be crafted. The only other notable items Quincy sells are the components of the Armored Suit. The complete set costs 6,500 Quicksilver.
