The Paradrome Cube is Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer artifact, giving players a wide range of explosive options to tackle the Vex with.

Season of the Splicer introduces to Destiny 2 players a variety of new pinnacle weapons, exotic armor pieces, and Stasis fragments to earn. There's even a brand new seasonal artifact that leans heavily towards Guardians with a penchant for explosions.

Unlike some past seasonal artifacts, getting the Paradrome Cube is more or less straightforward this time around. Destiny 2 places Guardians directly into the first mission of the season, meaning there's no chance of missing it. That also means Guardians looking to maximize their XP gains won't unintentionally miss out on having the artifact first. A good thing, as the new seasonal activity Override has plenty of champions that will absolutely necessitate the use of a few of the early seasonal mods.

It all starts with "The Lost Splicer" quest, which can be found on Europa if players are kicked from the activity. Here, Guardians are reunited with Mithrax Kell of Light and get their first dive into the Vex Network. Following a few enemy encounters and a close-call, players are then tasked with meeting Mithrax in the Eliksni Quarter of The Last City. Longtime fans of Destiny 2 will find that the location is extremely familiar.

Once here, Guardians will stand amidst a conversation that includes Mithrax, Osiris, and Lakshmi-2. After they finish, a popup states that the H.E.L.M. has been updated to include an Eliksni Wing. Mithrax will ask that Guardians go there to speak with the Splicer Servitor. In the H.E.L.M, once loaded in, the wing is stationed on the left side of the facility.

At the Splicer Servitor, Guardians are finally given the Paradrome Cube, as well as the Splicer Gauntlet immediately after. The first row of mods are of course Champion-focused, but a lot of the new Destiny 2 seasonal mods are centered around grenade launchers, rocket launchers, and explosive damage in general. One mod, titled Energy Accelerant, buffs Dragonfly, Firefly, and Chain Reaction damage all at once, making it a powerful addition to builds centered around those perks.

There's no telling what crazy combinations Guardians will come up with as the artifact tree is further unlocked. However, with the Vault of Glass raid dropping within a week or so and more Splicer-related activities to come after, it wouldn't be a terrible thing to have as many unlocked and ready to destroy the waves of Vex with explosive precision.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light and the new Season of the Splicer are available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
