Last October, developer Xseed Games and Marvelous Entertainment revealed Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, a farming simulator that descends from the original Harvest Moon franchise. Given the success of similar games such as Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, Pioneers of Olive Town's announcement was immediately met with excitement.

Since the game's announcement, Xseed Games revealed several key details surrounding the game, such as its general gameplay, new features, and the complete list of bachelors and bachelorettes. Additionally, Xseed Games confirmed that Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will receive post-launch content, and here are all the details on what players should expect from the game after its release.

In an update released by Marvelous Entertainment, the publisher revealed that players would be able to purchase a season pass for Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. This season pass will cost players $19.99 and will include a plethora of updates that will be released in a period of several months. Extra content included in the season pass ranges from new locations that players will be able to explore alongside outfits, items, side-stories, and the return of marriage candidates from previous Story of Seasons games. At the moment, it isn't clear whether the season pass will include more content beyond those that have already been announced. However, for players interested to see what's in store for Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, here is a month-by-month breakdown of content.

• April 2021 - The first part of the season pass is set to release a month after its launch. The first wave will include Animal Attire costumes for both the protagonists and all marriage candidates in the game. Additionally, it will also include a new sub-scenario called 'Olive Town Mystery Files' where players will join Mikey and Cindy to investigate strange incidents occurring in town.
• May 2021 - The second part of the content update will see the release of the 'Windswept Falls Expansion Pack,' a brand new area that is home to four characters from a past game released on the Nintendo 3DS. It is worth noting that two of these characters are marriage candidates.
• June 2021 - The third wave of the content expansion will include 'School Uniforms' for both the protagonists and marriage candidates alongside the release of the 'Terracotta Oasis Expansion Pack.' In this expansion, players will discover an exotic oasis area home to four additional characters from the first Story of Seasons game. Two of these returning villagers are also marriage candidates.
• July 2021 - In the fourth part of the season pass, players will receive the 'Yukata Set' costumes for players and marriage candidates, alongside 'The Legendary Sprite Dance' sub-scenario.
• August 2021 - In the last part of the content expansion, players will gain access to the 'Twilight Isle Expansion Pack,' which opens another new location for players to explore where they will meet four characters from Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns that will include two marriage candidates.

Apart from the massive content that players will have access to via the season pass, players will also receive several in-game bonuses that will immediately become available once they purchase the season pass. These in-game goodies include three costume sets:

• Pete and Claire's Overall costumes from Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town
• Yuto and Naomi's Hoodies' costumes from Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town
• Henry and Holly's Western Attire' costumes from Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will be released on March 23, 2021, on the Nintendo Switch.
