Despite its age, many fans are still impressed with how Red Dead Redemption 1 looks, even after releasing on a previous generation over ten years ago.

When Red Dead Redemption first released back in 2010, it took the gaming community by storm. In many ways, Rockstar Games had struck gold in making an open world, western game sharing the structural elements featured in Grand Theft Auto games. Even after being out for over a decade, many Red Dead Redemption fans are impressed with how good the game looks.

One of the many elements that left a strong impression on players going into Red Dead Redemption 2 was how amazing the game looked. Even on a base PS4 or Xbox One, Red Dead Redemption 2 remains one of the best-looking games on the previous console generation. Though, many fans of the original game want to make sure that players don't forget how impressive the first game looks.

Over on Reddit, many community posts have highlighted Red Dead Redemption 1's graphics or celebrated the game in some capacity. This could be due to the fact that Red Dead Redemption 1 celebrated its 10 year anniversary just a few days ago, but it's still nice to see that many fans still appreciate the original game. Especially considering how much attention the sequel has garnered over the last few years.

There's a lot going for Red Dead Redemption 2 that tends to outshine the original game. The world of the game is much larger. The graphics are much more polished and possess a greater amount of detail. Not to mention that Arthur Morgan tends to get a lot more love and appreciation nowadays compared to John Marston.

Then again, it's important to recognize what the original Red Dead Redemption managed to accomplish when it first released. For a new IP, it introduced a vivid and exciting world populated with memorable characters. Gunslinging, dueling, and bringing in bounties made players feel like a genuine cowboy, and the story of John Marston was both gripping and emotional when most people played it for the first time.

There have been a lot of talks of Rockstar Games remaking Red Dead Redemption 1. Most of the information presented is built more on speculation and rumors, but considering the popularity Red Dead 2 has achieved, and considering how invested a lot of players became with the story and characters of Red Dead 2, it could benefit Rockstar to remake Red Dead 1 as a way to give newer fans a chance to experience the game on the same technical level as Red Dead 2.

Red Dead Redemption is available now on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
