After a slew of pandemic-related delays and setbacks, the highly-anticipated Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure is now ready to open its doors to the public. While there are many exciting attractions to look forward to like Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout, perhaps the most exciting aspect of the theme park will be the Marvel-themed foods found throughout the lot.
The theme park, which is based on Earth's Mightiest Heroes, will bring the Marvel Cinematic Universe to life, offering visitors a fully immersive fan experience like no other. Just like its Disneyland counterparts, the Avengers Campus will have its own dedicated eateries and food stands, and each will offer special menu items that visitors can only get on-site. Early photos show a variety of goodies that are sure to bring out the inner geek, including Ant-Man's Pym Particle snacks, Pingo Doce sodas, and even Iron Man's Infinity Gauntlet, which can be used to hold water bottles and soft drinks.

One of the coolest meals fans will be able to enjoy is shawarma wraps from Shawarma Palace, the small, New York-based restaurant that was featured in the first Avengers film. After the Avengers fought off that massive army of Chitauri in the Battle of New York, Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man asked the group a hilarious question: "Have you ever tried shawarma?" He then brought them to Shawarma Palace, where they ate together after the hard-fought battle. The famous post-credits scene was a last-minute addition shot just after the Avengers' world premiere.
Ever since that scene was revealed, fans have yearned to try those iconic shawarma wraps themselves, and now that Avengers Campus is opening, they will finally have the chance to do so. According to the Disneyland website, visitors will be able to "savor a heroic hand-held savory wrap at this tasty food cart" for $12.99 each. Two options will be available: The New York's Tastiest Wrap, which is a chicken shawarma wrap with garlic spread, pickled vegetables, and yogurt-tahini sauce, and The Impossible Victory Falafel, which is a cauliflower wrap with garlic spread, pickled vegetables, hummus, and yogurt-tahini sauce.
Aside from the Shawarma Palace carts, the Avengers Campus will also have its very own Pym Test Kitchen. Guests will be treated to a unique dining experience involving hero-sized meals and tiny treats that have been manipulated by the shrink-and-grow technology of Pym Particles. The restaurant will also feature remnants of "ongoing experiments," such as giant soda cans, condiment bottles, and cellphones recycled into menu boards.
Disneyland's Avengers Campus will officially open on June 4, 2021.
