A new limited-time event is coming to Hyper Scape, the fast-paced, free-to-play, and crossplay multiplayer shooter from Ubisoft. The event adds a team deathmatch party in which players can claim loot for participating and winning.
Hyper Scape launched to mixed reviews in August of last year, but Ubisoft has continued to support the game with seasonal updates, festival events, and more. The newest example is Takeshi's TDM Party In-Game Event.

Ubisoft released a trailer showing off the new event and what it entails. Players have the ability to play TDM matches in Hyper Scape and win loot for participating and winning matches. For playing five TDM matches, players are rewarded the City Pop Ripper weapon skin. For winning a single match, the award is the Takeshi City Pop Champion outfit. Meanwhile, if a player can manage to win five TDM matches, the award is the B-Boy emote. The Takeshi's TDM Party In-Game Event runs from January 28 through February 9.
Hyper Scape is more focused as a battle royale, one that would directly compete with the likes of Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, or Apex Legends. In fact, Hyper Scape even has an Apex Legends Easter egg within the game. And especially since the game has sci-fi vibes, it is fair to compare with that type of game. However, unveiling events that focus on team deathmatch modes is a helpful way to differentiate itself at least slightly. And with the game being free-to-play and supportive of crossplay, perhaps now is the time to jump on and give the game a chance with friends.
Hyper Scape is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
