Fans have to wait no longer for a glimpse of the film, as Marvel has dropped a teaser of the video early Monday morning.

Marvel's upcoming Eternals has been one of the most highly anticipated films of the past two years, both by fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and by casual moviegoers alike. Those fans have to wait no longer for a glimpse of the film, as Marvel has dropped a teaser of the video early Monday morning.

Eternals has been continuously delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. A film that was once supposed to release last year in November 2020 before being pushed twice, once to February 2021 and finally to this November. During that time, the film's director, Chloé Zhao, has made history as the first POC woman to win the Oscar for Best Director; not only this, but after exciting cast announcements and Kevin Feige's comments about the film, fans have been clamoring for footage of the buzzworthy title.

Fans have finally been given that footage, as Marvel Studios dropped a lengthy two-minute teaser showcasing the scope, story, and heroes of the film. The teaser showcases the Eternals as a group of immortal beings who have watched over humanity from a spectator's point of view, but over the course of the film, an event forces them to step in and help humanity when they otherwise haven't needed to. The style of the teaser is far different than what fans have seen in other Marvel films, with a focus on contrasting light and darkness, as well as grand, sweeping oceanside vistas.

Eternals has put together one of the most exciting and diverse casts in any of Marvel's films. Solely in terms of the Eternals themselves, the film has Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, Don Lee, Lia McHugh, Barry Keoghan, The Walking Dead actress Lauren Ridloff (who will be playing the MCU's very first deaf superhero), and none other than Angelina Jolie. In addition to this, Kit Harington plays Dane Whitman, a human swordsman who, in the Marvel comics, is also known as Black Knight. This is a fantastic and inspired selection of actors that are sure to bring the Eternals to life.

Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao has been vocal about her excitement for the project, which is a stark contrast from her previous independent dramas, The Rider and Nomadland. Zhao had come to Marvel to pitch her version of Eternals herself, and Kevin Feige went on record, claiming that it was the best pitch he'd ever heard. According to Feige, the film was a "very big, sweeping, multi millennial-spanning story," a notion that the teaser affirms.

Eternals is due in theaters on November 5th, 2021.
