It appears that the free PS Plus games for June 2021 have leaked ahead of time, following the same trend that prior months have.

PlayStation Plus games have been leaking pretty frequently lately, typically hinting at what players can expect a few days earlier than official channels do. While leaks can be inconsistent and unreliable, gamers still love to speculate about what's on the way. For those wondering what the free PS Plus games for June 2021 will be, it's possible that the offering has leaked in its entirety – though fans will have to wait to be sure.

Spanish website Area Jugones, which accurately leaked the free PS Plus games for May 2021 and new DualShock controller colors, has posted yet another leak supposedly containing free games for PlayStation users. If the leaks are accurate, players can expect a few big games next month, including the particularly present surprise of Star Wars: Squadrons. Battlefield 5 is one of the free games currently on offer, so a continued partnership with EA would certainly be interesting.

On top of Star Wars: Squadrons, Area Jugones states that PS Plus subscribers will be able to get their hands on Virtua Figther 5: Ultimate Showdowna new version of the game that previously leaked on the PlayStation Store. Supposedly, Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown will be officially revealed on May 27, setting it up to be one of the free games. Meanwhile, Operation: Tango will round out the list, though it could possibly exclusive to the PS5 according to Area Jugones.

Of course, these leaks should all be taken with a grain of salt until PlayStation officially confirms what to expect out of June's PS Plus games. While Area Jugones has been correct in the past, it's always possible that there was some last-minute shuffling behind the scenes, as PS Plus games have been swapped around before. Still, if the lineup is accurate, it would be one of the biggest months that the service has seen this year.

Typically, free PlayStation Plus games are announced towards the end of the month, so fans should be getting an announcement any day now. June also sees several high-profile gaming events take place, including E3 and Summer Game Fest, so it should be a big month for video games all around.

For now, though, fans just have to wait and see what PlayStation will have to offer. PS Plus announcements are always an exciting part of the month for those that own the systems, and Star Wars: Squadrons, Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, and Operation: Tango should have broad enough to appeal to check boxes for a lot of people. Until then, fans should make sure they have May 2021's PS Plus games claimed.
