GOG, formally known as Good Old Games, has added 12 games to its ever-expanding catalog. GOG is a DRM-free digital distribution platform for video games and films. The online platform used to focus solely on older titles, and the newest addition of games to the library are all very much in that vein.
More recently GOG has focused on launching fresh titles, such as Cyberpunk 2077. But the distribution platform regularly adds classic entries as well. Last September GOG added Metal Gear Solid and other classic Konami titles, for example. The newest entries come with the added bonus of a sale for a limited time.

The first set of games as a part of the newest addition to GOG is eight games from the 18 Wheels of Steel series. The simulation games ran from 2002 through 2011 and each of them cost just $4.99, as they are currently 50% off until February 5.
As far as the other additions, Gunboat is a 1990 combat riverboat simulator and Steel Thunder is a 1989 American battle tank simulator. The Train Escape to Normandy is even longer in the tooth, as it one of the older "first-person" shooters from 1987. And lastly, Sea Legends is a pirate adventure RPG from 1997 that may be a far cry from the high-performance Sea of Thieves in 2021, but still, something that may be worth a try today. All of those games are also 50% off until February 5.
GOG is a very unique online platform. It sets itself apart by being a place where users can purchase lesser-known games like Wetlands from 1994 or The Medium, Bloober Team's horror game that was just released yesterday. There aren't many digital platforms that can compete with that sort of service.
