Biomutant players that are trying to tame an Azure Gnoat must first collect a Pip Seed, and this guide details how that is done.

There are a variety of unique mounts in Biomutant, and the Azure Gnoat is the first one that players will encounter. That said, fans will not be able to ride this creature immediately upon locating it, as they must first obtain a Pip Seed. Detailing exactly how that is done is the precise purpose of this guide, and players that are currently stuck trying to collect a Pip for the Gnoat in Biomutant will find the information that they need in what follows.

To get right to it, Biomutant players that are working on this task should begin by following the waypoint to the nearby Pip Plant. They should then situate themselves in front of the opening in the plant, which provides a good view of the colorful Pip Seed that is contained within it. From this position, fans simply need to press the Dodge input (PC: Alt | PlayStation: O | Xbox: B) to pass through the plant and snag the seed.

With the Pip Seed in hand, players should head over to the Azure Gnoat and interact with it. This action will trigger the completion of a side quest, and it will be possible to mount and ride the creature thereafter. This will make traversing the map in this open-world RPG much easier, and fans can call the Azure Gnoat to their position whenever they wish to by hitting the Transport input (PC: 4 | PlayStation/Xbox: D-Pad Down).

To note, some players are currently encountering a bug that causes the Azure Gnoat to disappear during the Feeding Time side quest, making it impossible to deliver the Pip Seed and obtain this mount in Biomutant. Fans can try to workaround this issue by creating a new save file and then loading it, as that can force the creature to respawn. However, this fix does not seem to work for absolutely every player, and hopefully a patch will definitively squash the bug in short order.

The immensity of this game's map means that players will frequently want to enlist the assistance of a mount. Indeed, fans will be traveling across large distances as they work to clear outposts, collect Biomutant's Old World Gadgets, and more, and trying to do that exclusively on foot would be a monumental undertaking. Players can make traversal even easier by engaging with the title's fast travel system, which allows for instant transport to a variety of different locations.

Biomutant is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
