If you enjoyed Fate: The Winx Saga, then these acclaimed Netflix shows should be right up your alley.

Netflix has had many hit series that will fascinate fans of the fantasy genre, young viewers, or both of them. Most recently, it has introduced a new show that drew a lot of attention. Fate: The Winx Saga created a beautiful but also dangerous world full of faeries and people with extraordinary powers. Its heroine Bloom has to navigate her new world, which is fun to watch.

However, if one has already watched all the six episodes of the first season and is looking for more, there are alternatives to Fate: The Winx Saga on Netflix. Some of them work with a similar storyline, others have characters that would most likely befriend Bloom if they met... but all of them are worth watching.

10 Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina

Just like Fate: The Winx Saga, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina also draws inspiration from an older TV show. However, the show chose a different approach to the previous story. It's dark, full of tension-filled moments, and supernatural dangers. Sabrina and Bloom both face threats they didn't know about before. They do their best to deal with any challenges, and they're not alone in this. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has four seasons, so it will take up quite some time to watch the whole show.

9 Shadowhunters

Fantasy stories, especially young-adult, often focus on heroines who enter a different world. Until recently, Bloom had no idea she was a fairy. Clary Fray, the heroine of Shadowhunters, had to deal with the new knowledge she's different. Clary has angelic blood and joins an organization of demon hunters. What connects both Clary and Bloom is that they're clever but don't always know what to do. And from a physical point of view, they're both redheads.

8 Cursed

It didn't use to be this way, but nowadays, there are more fantasy shows with young female heroines. Such as Cursed about the young rebel Nimue. Similar to Bloom, Nimue discovers she has unique powers, and her life turns upside down. Nimue's determined to get what she wants which makes her adventures fun to watch. She joins forces with the future King Arthur, and they go to save Nimue's people together. The show has one season right now.

7 I Am Not Okay With This

Some viewers enjoy fantasy shows but like to see stories more connected with the world they know. I Am Not Okay With This fits the description. Its main heroine, Syd, is relatable to all young people who ever struggled in their lives.

Syd doesn't get along with her mom, just like Bloom struggles to connect to her parents. Syd has fallen in love with her best friend Dina but Dina has a boyfriend. And to top it all off, Syd had realized she might possibly have supernatural powers.

6 Titans

Even though Titans are a superhero show, they still follow a similar pattern like Fate: The Winx Saga. Young girl Raven realizes she has powers, and she struggles with dealing with them. She meets a group of extraordinary people. Some of them might help her with her powers, while others could be her enemies. Raven experiences a lot of adventures and doesn't always handle things in the best way. Tone-wise, Titans are for a slightly older audience but thanks to Raven, the show will be intriguing for young girls as well.

5 Warrior Nun

In comparison to Ava, the heroine of Warrior Nun, Bloom has had it easy. She accidentally attacked her parents but at least she didn't wake up in a morgue. Ava does, and she realizes she has new powers she doesn't know what to do with. Luckily for her, help appears on the horizon and Ava begins her training. Both shows point out that it's possible to lose control over oneself, and that it's acceptable, maybe even okay, to accept someone else's help.

4 Vampires

Let's give space to European shows for a moment. Vampires is a French show that doesn't have a high rating (5.5) on IMDb but fans of fantasy might find it interesting. The show is about a young girl Doina who just wants to live a normal life.

The only problem is that Doina comes from a family of vampires. Her mom is trying to prevent from Doina following in her footsteps, and become a vampire. But just like Bloom, who doesn't always tell the truth to her parents, Doina lies to her mom and she lets her inner vampire get out.

3 Stranger Things

Unlike some shows on this list, Stranger Things is a well-known series. It may have started as a TV shows, but nowadays, there are also books inspired by it. The show has three seasons so far. It shows what happens when most ordinary people have to face extraordinary things. The heroes are in over their heads. Bloom would sympathize since he also had no idea what awaited her in her new school. Stranger Things have created many memorable characters, one of the best is Millie Bobby Brown's mysterious girl Eleven who has unique powers.

2 Trinkets

If one steps away from the fantasy genre and just wants to watch a show about young people struggling, Trinkets might be the right choice. Elodie has to attend a group where people talk about their addiction to stealing. She meets two girls in the group, and despite the differences in their characters, they become friends. The characters are sympathetic and relatable and similar to Bloom, their lives are far from ideal. Their best shot at success is to go on and deal with whatever problems life throws in their way.

1 Locke & Key

Inspired by successful comic book series by Joe Hill, Locke & Key is about three siblings (and their mom) who realize there's more to the world than meets the eye. It all starts when they move into a new house, just like Bloom leaves her home behind and starts anew in her school. The Locke siblings realize there are special keys in their home that can do extraordinary things. Unfortunately, there are also creatures who want the keys for themselves.
