Resident Evil Village has a lot to offer. From intense action and haunting atmosphere, to the plethora of memorable characters that inhabit the world, Resident Evil Village is a game that many survival horror fans have been waiting for. However, one of the biggest reasons for the popularity the game has achieved lies in one of the lead villains.
Lady Dimitrescu is considered by many to be one of the most substantial selling points of Resident Evil Village. While her character doesn't play as significant a role as players anticipated, Lady Dimitrescu was featured prominently in numerous advertisements leading up to the game's release. Now, her face model has given fans of the character a very accurate cosplay.

Over on Instagram, Lady Dimitrescu face model Helena Mankowsa posted a short video showing off the cosplay she did of the character. The cosplay itself is nearly identical to Dimitrescu's in-game attire. However, given that Mankowsa's face was used to model Lady Dimitrescu, this cosplay in particular genuinely looks as much like a real-life Lady Dimitrescu as it can possibly get - despite her not being nearly ten feet tall.
A lot of work goes into making 3D animated characters as ambitious as the ones featured in a game like Resident Evil Village. In terms of Lady Dimitrescu, many would be quick to give all the credit to the actor playing the character, Maggie Robertson, considering that in addition to doing voiceover lines she was also heavily involved with the motion capture, which can be physically taxing and time consuming.
However, face models definitely play an integral role in terms of the creation of any given character, and their importance is becoming more recognized within the gaming community. The amount of attention that Mankowsa has garnered on Instagram for this cosplay alone is a clear indicator of the significance of face models, and how the characters they help to create affect them personally.
It will be interesting to see what Capcom does with Resident Evil Village going forward. Following the release of Resident Evil 7, the developers released a number of DLC expansions, which included various new gameplay modes and even some story campaigns that took place at the end of the main game. Right now it's impossible to know if Capcom will pursue anything else with regards to Resident Evil Village, but given how the game has been received so far, many would certainly not turn down potential DLC.
Resident Evil Village is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
