Borderlands 3 is teeming with all types of builds for each character. Here's a look at the game's most overpowered builds.

Gearbox has finally revealed the fourth skill trees for the Borderlands 3 Vault Hunters, which will be released as part of the Designer's Cut DLC. These new trees are guaranteed to bring in some new builds that will further enhance the way that many people play the game. With that being said, the previous skill trees are still extremely viable and players have figured out how to use them effectively.

These builds are so effective that some of them can take down bosses in the blink of an eye or wipe out hordes of enemies without breaking a sweat. Let's count down some of the most badass, best builds of all before new ones start flooding in.

Updated May 28th, 2021 by Aden Carter: Now that the DLC has been out for a few months, many Vault Hunters have had the chance to mess around with their new skills trees. These skill trees give each character access to new buffs and abilities that make builds more powerful than ever before. Some builds now allow players to reach damage numbers they could dream of before. Luckily, players don't need to figure out these new complex builds on their own, because avid build creators have already gotten the work done.

10 FaZe Fl4k

Fl4k has gone through some major changes from the updates that Gearbox has rolled out, but he is still capable of wielding a sniper rifle better than any other character. The FaZe Fl4k build utilizes Fl4k's sniper rifle capability to allow him to one-shot tons of enemies from across the game.

The new weapon that this build uses the most is the Ionic Disruptor. This build also uses the Cosmic Stalker class mod among other items that are older. Players might already have the required items to make this build function.

9 Cold Runnings Zane

Zane has gone through a ton of transitions since Borderlands 3 was originally released. At first, players had a hard time getting impressive damage numbers from the operative. Nowadays, Zane can one-hit bosses like the best of them.

One way to show this off is the Cold Runnings Zane build that can deal millions of damage and one-shot bosses easily. This is all thanks to the fourth skill tree that is fully utilized with this build along with the Kickcharger rocket launcher. This build gains more damage while Zane is on the move and even more damage whenever he slides.

8 Steel Savior Moze

It took a long time, but Iron Bear has finally become useful outside of getting a small amount of protection. Many players remember how bad Iron Bear was when Borderlands 3 launched. It died very quickly and didn't have the kind of damage that other characters had.

That has all changed and now Iron Bear can be a deadly force. Joltzdude139 has figured out how to make Iron Bear tougher than any boss. This build does require a few items, but it is mostly up to player choice since Iron Bear will be doing most of the damage.

7 Gladiator Amara

Welcoming back another Joltdude139 build, this time for Amara. The YouTuber has figured out a way to make Amara a melee damage god with a promise that each melee hit will deal a billion damage points. That's right, a billion.

This build does require some anointment farming which is never fun, but it will be worth it to be able to punch any enemy to death. This build utilizes the newest Amara class mod called the Muse which other players have discovered to be extremely powerful.

6 Do It All Fl4k

Ki11er Six is another YouTuber who makes plenty of builds for various Vault Hunters. This build, however, focuses on Fl4k. Most people recognize Fl4k as being pretty squishy, but that isn't the case with this build.

Ki11er Six has stated that this build is very versatile and lets players use any action skill they want. He shows off multiple weapons with the build that are very powerful while also showing off all of the action skills. Through the video, he shows how easy it is to take enemies down with this build and damage markers in the millions.

5 Fire Hoze Moze

This Moze build comes from Moxsy, a YouTuber. This build is an updated version of an older build he created but with more damage potential. He shows himself killing multiple bosses with a pistol, rocket launcher, and other weapons. All of this without the use of Iron Bear. He even states during the video that almost anything can be used on the build, but a few items will be necessary. One of these items is the Blast Master class mod. He does make a note about the Mind Sweeper class mod as well, but it ultimately doesn't do as much damage.

Thanks to the addition of the fourth skill tree, this build has gotten even more powerful. There is only one skill that Moxsy takes advantage of from the purple tree, but it gives Moze more damage output. The chosen skill is Big Surplus which grants Moze a fifteen percent bonus incendiary damage whenever Iron Cub is on cooldown.

4 Bulletstorm Moze

Here is a build that focuses on Moze's ability to regenerate ammo. This build was created by Joltzdude139 and uses multiple weapons with high magazine sizes. The reason for this is so that Moze can keep dishing out damage without the need for reloading her weapons.

This build also utilizes incendiary damage which is the best damage type for Moze. It also takes advantage of the Sapper class mod that gives Moze lifesteal. For anyone who remembers, this class mod is extremely useful for giving Moze health since she doesn't have skills for that.

3 Gamebreaker Amara

With all the crazy builds that people have made for Amara, it was only a matter of time before one broke the game. Amara has been on the receiving end of a ton of nerfs because of her overpowered nature, but that hasn't stopped Moxsy from creating a build that can nearly one-shot anything in Amara's path.

Despite this build being newer, it utilizes a lot of older items that players might already have. One of the key items is the Facepuncher shotgun that Moxsy shows off in the video. Another is the Spiritual Driver class mod.

2 Deathbot Prime Fl4k

One of the key elements of Fl4k that makes him stand out from the rest of the Vault Hunters is his pets. Fl4k can choose from four different pets that allow him to get damage buffs, but not many builds rely heavily on his pets. This one is one of the exceptions.

It turns Fl4k's Loader Bot pet into a walking death machine that can one-shot tons of enemies and bosses without breaking a sweat (not that robots can sweat anyway). YouTuber Joltzdude139 created this build that takes the man out of the equation and the pet in the driver's seat.

1 Chain Zane

Moxsy created yet another Zane build that is based on an old one. Players might remember the original Chain Zane build, now it is more powerful than ever before thanks to the Vault Hunter's fourth skill tree. The new version of this build relies heavily on both the purple and blue skill trees (some points still go into the red tree).

Like most Zane builds, this one harnesses the Seein' Dead class mod's ability to activate kill skills. One of the most useful skills for this build is the Eraser skill because of the bonus damage it allows players to deal.
