In Biomutant, players will discover the Mekton will do a great job of keeping them safe, and this guide will show them how to spawn it.

Biomutant is filled with environmental hazards that will interfere with players as they attempt to explore the world. Some areas will cause hypoxia due to a lack of oxygen, and this is where one of Biomutant's most useful mounts can save the day. The Mekton will keep players safe from the effects of hypoxia while also acting as something of a mobile gun platform, which is certainly an attractive feature.

Players are running into an issue when attempting to spawn the Mekton, however. Many find that no matter what they do, the Mekton will not appear when they attempt to spawn it in, and the reason for this is pretty simple. The Mekton can only be spawned in certain areas, which appears to be down to how destructive it is. While it's not one of Biomutant's ultimate weapons, it still packs a big punch as a boss killing machine.

Players will only be able to spawn in the Mekton in areas that will cause Hypoxia, such as the Deadzone, where they first use the machine. They will also only be able to spawn it in when they have a clear sky overhead, so they cannot make it spawn in caves or bunkers or any other structure with a roof. This is all clearly designed to keep the Mekton in check, or else players could quickly run over any enemy in Biomutant with it, thanks to its impressive firepower.

To summon the Mekton, all players need to do is head to an area like the Deadzone, wait until they start suffering the effects of hypoxia, then hit the number four button on their keyboard, or down on the D-Pad, to bring up the mount menu. Turn the radial to the yellow Mekton symbol, and the machine will fall from the sky above them. They can then interact with it to climb inside and will be safe from the effects of hypoxia. It is worth noting that while certain armor pieces will give players resistance to hypoxia, it is not a resistance that they can choose at the start of Biomutant.

Because players cannot always rely on the Mekton to deal with tough enemies, they will need to learn how to craft guns to ensure they have plenty of firepower to take on the many threats they will face in Biomutant. This way, they will always be prepared for the various monsters that can attack them, even when they cannot summon the Mekton.

Biomutant is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
