Aside from the problems still present in Cyberpunk 2077, there are several things players can do that might ruin their playthrough.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a very massive game that holds so much promise. It was one of the most anticipated releases prior to its launch, but due to the massive amount of bugs, glitches, and unfulfilled promises, the game failed to fully satisfy a vast majority of the gaming community.

Despite this, the game itself had its saving graces. The entire experience, if the bugs and other similar problems are removed, is fairly decent. There are things, however, that will further hinder a player's playthrough. Whether these are things a player fails to do, ignores, does too much, or just things in the game outside of their control, these will ultimately ruin a player's playthrough unless they know it beforehand.

10 Not Adjusting The Graphics Setting

Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty accessible when it comes to graphics adjustment. Although a high-end PC would be surely needed to run the game at its optimum capacity, those with mid-end PCs and those playing on the consoles can still do a thing or two to maximize the game's potential.

Players can play around with the Video menu in the game's settings. They can turn off options such as Lens Flare, Motion Blur, and other graphics settings to make sure their game runs as smoothly as it can.

9 Rushing The Main Story

Despite Cyberpunk 2077's various faults, the game actually has a fairly compelling main story. Because of this, one can be forgiven for dashing through the main story completely without exploring the rest of Night City first.

While it is absolutely doable to complete the main story alone without doing anything else, it would a complete disservice to the game and to yourself to do so. The game has so much more to offer with its side missions and side gigs. They'll even offer generous rewards which will be helpful on the main missions.

8 Fast Traveling Only

The open-world map of Cyberpunk 2077 can seem very overwhelming. The world is incredibly massive, there are so many things to do, and it also doesn't help that many of the vehicles in the game are tricky to maneuver.

Because of this, many will opt to fast travel as much as they can. Players should avoid this if they want to see and experience more in the game. Various missions will only pop up if they're discovered in the world and fast traveling constantly will make it difficult to experience them.

7 Not Visiting Ripperdocs

Excess, lavishness, and superficiality are attributes that are ever-present in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. One of the ways to fulfill the need for physical upgrades is the city's many Ripperdocs. Not only will they provide good-looking upgrades, but they are also very helpful in combat.

Players should take their time to explore the various Ripperdoc upgrades in and out of Night City. There are so many upgrades that not only will help them overcome hard challenges but also make the overall gameplay so much more fun.

6 Buying Expensive Vehicles Early On

There are so many vehicles one can purchase in Cyberpunk 2077 that it's hard to find one that best suits a player's needs. What makes this even harder is the fact that most of these vehicles are crazy expensive.

This money is better spent elsewhere. Instead of buying vehicles in-game, the players can instead explore side missions where they can earn various vehicles for free. The eddies are better spent on Ripperdoc upgrades and such.

5 Disregarding Your Phone

As a mercenary in Night City, V can be a very busy fellow. To keep up with the latest jobs and gain information on various missions, the players will constantly need to check their in-game phones. Disregarding it will limit their playthrough massively.

Many of these texts are such golden gems as well. Like Goro Takemura's boomer texts and Judy Alvarez's flirtatious ones. Other than that, this is where most of the side quests appear.

4 High Danger Quests

The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is jammed with quests, side quests, and various side jobs to do. It's a perfect place for a mercenary like V. In a fit of excitement, it's easy to get lost in these quests and just dive into whichever job is closest.

This is something the players shouldn't do haphazardly. Before diving into a mission or the job, they should see the mission's danger level first. If the danger level is too high, they're better off skipping that for now until they reach a higher level.

3 Skipping Conversations Haphazardly

Players will get the chance to meet so many side characters as they play through Cyberpunk 2077. There is an abundance of quests, moments, and conversations the players will be able to experience as they complete the game. However, not that many people are very interested in conversations in games.

As much as possible, don't skip the conversations in Cyberpunk 2077. Aside from missing out on crucial details when it comes to the mission at hand, the players will also miss a little bit of lore and backstory, which this game is rich of.

2 Ignoring Romance Options

It's fair to believe that romances in games are done nothing more than out of fan service. Sure, fans do love them. However, in Cyberpunk 2077, a romance option can mean more to the story, even integral to the ending itself.

There are a few romance options in the game that will affect the game's ending. Panam and Rogue, in particular. The players should absolutely not discredit these options as it will give them different ending paths, ones that are arguably better than the alternative.

1 Bugs And Glitches

This is something that's now out of the players' hands. The most crucial thing that will ultimately ruin a player's playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 is Cyberpunk 2077 itself.

Unfortunately for the gamers, there are so many bugs and glitches in this game. A few of them even game-breaking. Until such time that CD Projekt Red fixes these problems themselves, the players can only hope they won't encounter any game-breaking bugs as they go through the game.
