Few gangs in Cyberpunk 2077's Night City have as much firepower as 6th Street. What are some hidden details about the group?

Patriotism isn't dead in Cyberpunk 2077The 6th Street gang is proof of that. Their logo alone is enough to let anyone know of their allegiance to the United States, or at least, that what it seems at first glance. In reality, the 6th Street gang in 2077 consists of veterans of recent wars, discharged security officers, and retired military.

Unlike some of the most nefarious and terrifying gangs in Night City, the 6th Street Gang doesn't really take pleasure in needless, sadistic methods. They would, however, jump at any opportunity to go into a situation guns blazing. There are a lot of things about this gang that make them highly enthralling, for Night City standards, that is.

8 The Gang Was Founded By War Veterans

Like most of the members of the gang today, the original founders of 6th Street were war veterans out of the Fourth Corporate War. When these veterans, whose names are not known in the game, came back home after the war, they found their district overwhelmed by gangs, dangerously powerful individuals, and other heinous organizations, unprotected by the indifference of police authorities. In hopes of making their homes safe again, these veterans took up arms once more.

This is when the 6th Street gang was founded. The founders wanted their neighborhoods to be safer for the better and they were going to be the catalyst. Little by little, the gang grew as more veterans joined their ranks.

7 They Are Supplied By Militech And Kendachi

True to their patriotic nature and favorable reception of the second amendment, the 6th Street gang is one of the most well-armed gangs in Night City. Amazingly, they have two powerful and wealthy organizations to thank for this: Militech and Kendachi.

It makes sense for Militech to fund a group of war veterans like 6th Street because of Militech's ties with the New United States of America. It is unknown, however, why Kendachi would supply cyberwares to the 6th Street gang. Kendachi manufactures a lot of cyberware, but they are most known for their monoblades.

6 Bad Blood With The Valentinos

The 6th Street gang doesn't necessarily have a rivalry with any other groups nor do they have territorial disputes with other groups. They do, however, have a complicated history with the Valentinos. Both gangs are not in open war with one another, but they don't have much love for each other either.

This complication seems to have stemmed from a romance between Gustavo Orta, a Valentino leader, and Martha Frakes, a 6th Street member. For some reason, 6th Street members attacked Gustavo while he was with Martha. The latter was shot in the head from the ordeal. The father of Martha, Nolan Frakes, another 6th Streeter, blamed this event on Gustavo.

5 Honor Lost

Back when the 6th Street was founded by war veterans, they solely believed that it was their responsibility to maintain peace and order in their neighborhood. Considering the lack of help from officials, it's understandable that they ended up taking matters into their own hands. They lived in Night City, after all. They did what they had to do to survive.

In 2077, however, these ideals seem to have been lost, now replaced by self-serving virtues and a manic fascination with weaponry.

4 Their Territory

The main headquarters of the 6th Street gang is located in Arroyo, Santo Domingo. The gang maintains such high control of this sub-district that all factories and establishments in it are protected by corporate-hired security forces.

The 6th Street also has a major influence on the entire Santo Domingo district. When the gang was founded, this is the place the founders sought to protect, and the members of the gang in 2077 still somewhat uphold that promise, sometimes to an immense, unnecessary degree. A 6th Street ganger will, more often than not, become hostile to anyone they spot in the area they don't recognize.

3 Number Of Members

By 2077, it is estimated that the 6th Street gang contains about 2,300 members. This makes them far from the biggest gangs in Night City, but their strength doesn't come in numbers, it comes in firepower.

This is why even though their unofficial rival, the Valentinos, are unable to hold them down despite that group having about twice as many members as 6th Street.

2 Sources Of Income

The 6th Street in 2077 isn't so different from the gangs they used to fend off when the group was founded in its hay days. Like the other gangs of Night City, the 6th Street also relies on various nefarious activities for upkeep. Their most common operations include robbery, weapon smuggling, extortion, and protection. The gang also has various connections with Nomad groups outside Night City.

The gang also has a couple of techies in their ranks. These techies run garages and workshops all around Night City.

1 V Can Attack Their Headquarters For A Gun

In a side job called Stadium Love, V has the option to either be friendly towards 6th Street or declare war upon them by shooting everyone in their headquarters. Either way, V will be rewarded with the "Divided We Stand" Smart Assault Rifle, one of the best weapons in the game.

Both options are fairly challenging to do. If V chooses to approach this mission peacefully, they'll have to win a challenge where they'll have to shoot 44 targets perfectly. Otherwise, they will have to eliminate everyone in the headquarters, which also comes with its own challenges.
