The Call of Duty: Warzone cheating issue may be getting out of hand, but one recent video goes viral for comical reasons instead.

The popularity of Call of Duty: Warzone is hard to deny. The battle royale will soon come upon its one-year anniversary and the shooter is enjoyed by so many around the world. But the cheating issue in the game is just about equally hard to deny in Call of Duty: Warzone, and a recent video has gone viral showing off the escapades of one hacker who hilariously fell short.

Call of Duty: Warzone was one of the best multiplayer games of 2020, a battle royale game that managed to bring together the Call of Duty formula with new ideas such as the gulag and buy stations. But the game has been riddled with issues. New bugs seem to be uncovered almost daily and hackers run rampant. But when a cheater falls short, that is something that is satisfying to see.

Recently a Reddit user by the name of u/zimrh uploaded a video to r/CODWarzone that has blown up. The user was playing a match of Warzone and died in a way that they found suspicious, so they kept spectating the player that killed them. Sure enough, each kill seemed too good to be true. As the person has unreal aim at any distance and would somehow pinpoint players with the sniper rifle through foliage in ways in which the naked eye likely shouldn't be able to pick up (likely thanks to aim-bot). Of course, u/zimrh joked that it must be that this Warzone player simply has a much better Call of Duty gaming chair, nothing suspicious at all.

As the video progresses, the commentary gets even more comical, as the cheating gets even more obvious. The cheater seems to almost kill themselves by over-cooking a grenade at one point, but the aim-bot saves the day with laserbeam accuracy on an enemy that was firing away. At another point, the cheater seems to be stuck climbing in and out of a window for 20-seconds straight. The hacking and cheating within the game has gotten so bad that Nickmercs has decided to quit Warzone competitively, and others have followed suit.

In the end, justice does prevail. Right as the cheater swaps his weapon for his sniper, a player named PartyPat, who managed three kills for the whole game, takes down the cheater and ends up winning. The old saying "cheaters never prosper" rings true in this case.

Call of Duty: Warzone has an issue right now. It is difficult for the player base to consistently enjoy the experience if it also is dealing with players who are taking advantage of hacks, cheats, exploits, and glitches at every turn. Right now there is a movement led by content creators who are ready to leave Call of Duty: Warzone until anti-cheat measures are put in place in the game. When cheaters can pop up and ruin a fun night of gaming, that movement is understandable.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
