Dying Light Platinum Edition is seeing many players return to the thrilling title, but these players may need a refresher on how to fast travel.

During their time with Dying Light, players are going to be doing a lot of running back and forth between the various locations within the city of Harran. While there are some portions of this city that are truly beautiful to look at, the constant threat of zombies and other humans means it isn't always the most convenient to make these journeys by foot. Instead, players can use the game's fast travel feature to get around, although it should be said that this is somewhat limited compared to other games.

Dying Light's Harran is split up into two main portions, the Slums and the Old Town. Players will start the game in the Slums, but after progressing far enough in the story they will eventually gain access to Old Town. While players can walk back and forth between these areas, the game doesn't make it very clear that there's actually a fast travel method to go between the two.

Fast travel isn't unlocked until both areas have been accessed naturally through the story, but after that point players can go freely between the two. To travel from the Slums to Old Town, head back to the tower that Kyle Crane uses as his base of operations. Enter the shop area and players should see a poster on the wall depicting a construction company and a church. All players need to is interact with this poster and they will be instantly transported to Old Town, saving them a lot of walking in the process.

Doing the reverse is also simple, but players will have to find a specific spot in Old Town before being able to head back to the Slums. Locate the Embers' Tower in Old Town (it's the same one that was pictured in the poster before. Drop down into the room and players should see another poster to their left. This one depicts Brecken's Tower in the Slums, and just like before interacting with it will teleport the players back to the Tower. There is a short loading screen, but at least players don't have to make the trek manually.

While this doesn't allow players to freely fast travel between safe houses, it does provide them another option for maneuvering between the two areas. Players should always be sure to check whether it would be faster given their current location to simply run to the other area or make their way back to the tower and warp instead.

Dying Light is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
