Genshin Impact is a frighteningly popular game, becoming a sensation among players almost overnight. It involves players in activities ranging from exploration and battle to puzzle solving and finding fireflies.
Even with everything in the game, Genshin Impact is still in relative infancy, especially for an MMORPG. There are currently two regions to explore, but that will change soon. The third region, Inazuma, and its mysterious ruler are coming, both shrouded in some mystery. That leader is Baal, and a bit more information about her has leaked than miHoYo intended.

Zaniet, a well known Genshin Impact leaker, leaked an image of Baal. To be more specific, it's a silhouette of Baal, outlined with a shining sun behind her, and the hilt of a sword in front. it is not the full image of Baal revealed, nor does it present any new information on the Inazuma region. It does look very pretty though, as Genshin Impact stained-glass inspired art usually does. Baal has her own sword drawn in the image. Her swordfighting skills are one of the things coming to Genshin Impact in patch 1.6, but it's not yet known how she will measure up to other five star characters.
This is not the only artwork of Baal that has been released. The official Genshin Impact Twitter has also released several pieces of art depicting Baal. In fact, the image that Zeniet released is just one small part of a larger picture, appearing in the larger image's upper right-hand corner. Genshin Impact has done this sort of stained-glass inspired art reveal before, including before the initial release of the game, to highlight important characters. Baal's lore is fairly extensive, so it's a safe bet that the new story beats dropping in patch 1.6 will revolve around her somewhat, at least initially.
While Baal may be one of the most central characters to the 1.6 patch, she is not the only new face gracing Genshin Impact when the patch drops. Kazuha will also be arriving in patch 1.6, although a good deal less is known about him than about Baal.
Patch 1.6 will also include a boat for players to travel around aquatic zones. This will mean new ways to explore places and hopefully new watery ruins and combat arenas. Perhaps it will even lead to new rare encounters, with enemies below the water, perfect foes for an electricity user who can manipulate time. Only time will tell.
Genshin Impact is available now for mobile devices, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
