A reliable leaker shares what appears to be the box art for the yet-to-be-announced MLB The Show 21, including its unconfirmed platforms.

Baseball fans on PlayStation are likely looking forward to the upcoming reveal of MLB The Show 21 in February. However, this year Xbox fans may be anticipating the reveal of MLB The Show, too. For the first time ever, MLB The Show 21 could be coming to Xbox platforms. Hints have been coming for some time, but there's no official announcement yet. That may have just changed, however, with what appears to be a leak of MLB The Show 21's box covers.

Instagram account anerdydad, known for leaking box art in the past, recently shared the boxes for MLB The Show 21. What's special about the reveal is he shared the box art for MLB The Show 21 on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox One. If the leak is accurate, that means that MLB The Show 21, for the first time in franchise history, will be coming to Xbox as well as PlayStation. However, there's no Nintendo Switch cover to go along with the Xbox reveal.

While the potential Xbox confirmation is big news for baseball video game fans, the leak also suggests this year's cover is adorned by San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. He placed fourth in the National League MVP Award voting after a season in which he led the league in power-speed. While the Padres ultimately lost to the Dodgers in 2020, Tatis Jr.'s season proved him to be one of baseball's best.

The leak from anerdydad isn't confirmed, as persuasive as their Instagram post appears. It's possible the box art is fakes, or that the art is official but the platform boxes were faked. Baseball fans should wait for official confirmation before getting too excited. Luckily, Sony has already announced that MLB The Show 21 news will arrive in February.

MLB The Show 21 has yet to be officially announced.
