Steamforged Games brings yet another video game franchise to the board game format, this time with an ambitious recreation of Monster Hunter World.

Fans of Monster Hunter World will soon have a new way to enjoy hunting massive monsters, as Steamforged Games is looking to bring that action to the tabletop. A Monster Hunter boardgame is in the works and will be hitting Kickstarter in April of 2021, but fans can already see the different pledge levels that Steamforged Games is offering.

Fort those unfamiliar with the company, Steamforged Games has adapted several video game franchises into boardgame format. This includes Horizon Zero Dawn, Devil May Cry, Dark Souls, Resident Evil 2, and more. Now it has its sights set on Monster Hunter World, but this may just be its most ambitious project to date. As Monster Hunter is known for its giant monsters, Steamforged Game is taking things to the next level in order to bring these beasts to life.

There are currently three pledge levels that will be offered, Entry, Core, and All-in. For the Entry pledge level, backers will need to pledge $70 but will gain access to four XL monsters, four hunters, 600+ cards, a double-sided board, one rulebook, and one quest book. This should be enough to get into the game, but there is plenty more content to be earned as well.

Pledging $140 will see backers attain the Core Pledge, which comes with everything the Entry pledge did. All total, there one L monsters, seven XL monsters, one XXL monster, eight more hunters, 1200+ cards, two double-sided boards, two rulebooks, two quest books, and all unlocks. Finally, backers that want to go all in will need to pledge $279, but they'll get a ton of stuff for it. This pledge comes with one L monster, seven XL monsters, three XXL monsters, and one XXXL monster. It will also include 12 Hunters, 1800+ cards, two double-sided boards, eight rulebooks and quest books, and all unlocks.

The Monster Hunter World Board Game launches its Kickstarter in April 2021.
