The upcoming Spider-Man movie will feature a career highlight for Tom Holland, as revealed in an official Instagram post by the Avenger

Marvel Studios' Spider-Man 3 is set to feature a highlight moment for Tom Holland’s career. In an image shared on his official Instagram account, the celebrity poses with his brother, Harry, while donning the red and blue spider suit. The caption indicates that something monumental happened on set.

Though no details are provided by Holland, he does advise his more than 40 million Instagram followers to “buckle up” for what’s to come. In less than a day, the post received more than 6 million likes, with many fans urging Holland to reveal the secret. Some even joke about his habit of sharing spoilers and encourage him to do it once again.

In the past, the youngest Avenger has been infamous for giving away spoilers during media interviews. Starting with Spider-Man: Homecoming, there have been many instances where Holland has unintentionally revealed too much information about upcoming movies. The worst one could potentially have been him screaming, “I’m alive!”, to his fans who were getting ready to watch Avengers: Infinity War. Holland believed they had already seen the movie, which shows Thanos using the completed Gauntlet, snapping his fingers and disintegrating half of all life on the planet, including Spider-Man. But, the fans had just arrived at the screening, leading to immediate speculation that Holland’s character dies.

This eventually led to the other Avengers, mostly Benedict Cumberbatch who plays Doctor Strange, babysitting him during interviews. During the promotions of Avengers: Infinity War, many clips of Cumberbatch stopping Holland from revealing spoilers went viral. One of them even showed Cumberbatch putting his hand on Holland’s mouth to stop him from talking. In the few hours since he released the image on Instagram, Holland has not revealed any further information or details about what his caption is referring to.

Spider-Man 3 is one of the most awaited movies in 2021 and is expected to release in December. Not a lot has been revealed about the plot of this untitled movie, but there have been rumors going around about a major focus on the multiverse. There are also talks that actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, who played the role before, will also be making a return, while Charlie Cox is said to make an appearance as Matt Murdock, reprising his role from the Netflix Daredevil series.

Some set photos have also been doing the rounds online, leading to more theories being spun by fans. A recent photo shared on Reddit revealed a truck with the F.E.A.S.T logo printed on its side, an acronym featured in the PS4 game that stands for "Food. Emergency Aid. Shelter & Training". This led to many fans contemplating whether there would be a connection between the film and the game. It is, however, known that Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will be featuring in the movie along with Jamie Foxx returning as Max Dillon, aka Electro from 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Spider-Man 3 is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 17, 2021.
