With four episodes already streaming on Disney Plus, the mid-season trailer of WandaVision has been released and is creating waves online

This article contains spoilers for episode four of WandaVision.

WandaVision’s mid-season trailer is out, revealing some explosive glimpses of what’s to come. The minute-and-half long trailer shared by Marvel on YouTube is gathering attention real quick, with thousands of views within just the first hour of posting.

The trailer begins with a scene from Episode 4, “We Interrupt This Program”, where Monica Rambeau, known in Westview as Geraldine, is surrounded by SWORD agents in the real world. Fans who have seen the episode will know that after appearing in a hospital, returning after the “Blip,” Rambeau enters Westview as part of an investigation but becomes a part of the sitcom world and comes into direct contact with Wanda. During one of their interactions, Wanda becomes suspicious of her motives and unleashes her powers.

With someone who has “first-person intel” from the inside, SWORD is now interested in hearing what Rambeau has to say, as seen in the trailer. But, that’s not all. There is great emphasis on Agnes’ character, too, without any specific details as to what her role in the world of Westview may be. In episode 4, while FBI agent Jimmy Woo identifies all the characters from the sitcom, Agnes’ name is missing from the board. Many fans believe that Agnes is indeed Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch featured in the Marvel comics. Many have even highlighted a suspicious necklace that she is seen wearing in episode 3, “Now in Colour”, as it resembles the collar worn by Harkness.

While fans have gotten used to seeing a perfect world in Westview thus far, the trailer hints at this world collapsing as quickly. Scenes from Wanda’s home and the disintegrating walls are proof of that. Episode 4 confirmed that it is indeed Wanda who is controlling the fake world inside of Westview’s borders, but also showed fans a preview of what happens when she slips up for just a moment - Vision’s corpse appears. So, perhaps, the future will be even scarier with Wanda losing control over her perfect reality.

This could be initiated by Vision’s curiosity about the world outside the walls of Westview, with the trailer showing him approaching the force field that separates the two worlds. Viewers are also offered tiny glimpses of Wanda emerging into the real world and a potential fight scene between the two superheroes. The trailer promises exciting things ahead.

WandaVision episode 4 will air on Disney Plus on February 5, 2021.
