The latest patch of AdventureQuest 3D adds a ton of content relating to what might end up being the finale of a war between vampires and werewolves. Despite dropping so close to Valentine's Day, this update is focused less on love and more on horror, as players will need to face down these monstrous enemies in order to unravel the mystery of the Blood Moon. As interesting as all that sounds, fans are more enraptured by the addition of a new pair of gloves to the game, modeled after the ones worn by Bernie Sanders at Joe Biden's inauguration in January.
Most are probably familiar with the Bernie Sanders inauguration memes by now, so this new piece of equipment is a real treat. AdventureQuest has always known not to take itself too seriously, so something like this fits perfectly with the aesthetic of the game. To be fair, Bernie's gloves do look very warm, though whether they'd provide any protection in battle is debatable.

Players can get the mittens by visiting Winnie the Tailor's shop in the town of Battleon. In the official patch notes, Artix Entertainment says that she's knitted some sort of mitten gauntlets, accompanied by a picture of a character wearing them. They are pretty spot on in terms of looks, and thankfully they are relatively cheap too. The meme-worthy mittens can be purchased from Winnie for a mere 1000 Gold, chump change for most players at this point in AdventureQuest 3D. This means it should be fairly easy for any Bernie meme fans to get the mittens.
The item's description reads as follows: "These super comfy mittens were woven from repurposed wool and recycled materials. Wearing these mittens is a display of appreciation for all teachers who devote themselves to educating and inspiring students everywhere." As if their appearance wasn't enough, this item description makes it clear that it is indeed a reference to Bernie Sanders, who has always held education in high regard and even purchased the mittens from a teacher in Vermont. The bit at the beginning also happens to be true, as they were made from repurposed wool sweaters.
Seeing Bernie Sanders photoshopped into various video game settings has been a treat for many gamers, and now even his iconic mittens have made it in as an equippable item. Always one to make the most of an opportunity, Sanders himself sold T-Shirts with the meme printed onto them and then donated the profit to various Vermont charities.
