There's a large community of video game fans who are dedicated to fully completing a game, no matter how difficult the challenge. Whether it be collectibles or achievements, they'll dedicate hours until every last aspect of a game has been unlocked. This dedication has led to some incredible discoveries, from insane speedruns to secrets that developers thought would never be found. But now, a new milestone has been reached in this unique community.
Xbox user Jiexe took the notion of achievement hunting to another level, earning 500,000 Gamerscore in just 28 days, 18 hours, 44 minutes. They chronicled their incredible journey on True Achievements, which verifies that in the month of January alone, they amassed 521,015 Gamerscore and played 503 total games.

They crush the previous record of most Gamerscore collected in a single month, which was set at 132,000 Gamerscore in June 2020. They also set a new record for the most Gamerscore over a period of 19 days, beating the previous mark of 317,000. Additionally, Jiexe hit the halfway point of his challenge in just a little over a week of effort. In just 12 days, they eclipsed 300,000 Gamerscore.
Jiexe posted at the beginning of January that it was their goal to reach 500k before the month's end. The numerical figures from their run are staggering – in the 28 days it took to reach the milestone, Jiexe completed 434 games and unlocked 7,849 achievements. They said that they made up 100,000 Gamerscore in the last 11 days alone. In total, 390 of those 434 games were completed on the Xbox One.
To accomplish this, Jiexe would have had to average almost 17,000 Gamerscore a day, which reduces further down to 700 an hour, based on a 24-hour schedule. But Jiexe said in their True Achievements post that they maintained a regular sleep schedule, and took breaks for both mental health and to eat. He did employ the assistance of several YouTubers that specialize in guides, though this hardly diminishes his efforts.
Microsoft recently unveiled a promotion that would award players one Microsoft Rewards Point for every point of Gamerscore unlocked. Unfortunately for Jiexe, however, Microsoft capped the reward amount at 10,000, a mark that Jiexe hit within mere hours of playing.
Here's a breakdown of the top 10 games that Jiexe played in terms of Gamerscore rewarded.
- Minecraft (iOS) - 7,831
- Minecraft (Nintendo Switch) - 7,584
- Minecraft (Windows 10) - 6,314
- Minecraft - 5,864
- Minecraft (Android) - 5,372

- Minecraft: Xbox One Edition - 3,847
- Nexoria: Dungeon Rogue Heroes - 3,313
- Bullet Beat - 3,262

Jiexe's superhuman record is sure to stand the test of time, but given the sheer determination of the achievement hunting community, there will be several challengers.
