This article contains potential spoilers for WandaVision.
It's rare for anything to leak out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even its tentpole stars, particularly Tom Holland, have noted before that Marvel Studios' information discipline is locked down tight, including the use of next-level tactics like dummy scripts. Most of the time, whatever leaks come out of the MCU tend to be poorly labeled fan speculation, or extrapolation from Marvel's comics history.
An exception may have kicked in over the weekend, however, as there's a short clip circulating via social media that seems to show a significant spoiler for upcoming episodes of the hit Disney Plus show WandaVision. If it's real, it'd be another example of interconnected film universes in the MCU's Phase 4, to go next to the talk of Jamie Foxx's Electro in the third Spider-Man movie. Spoilers below:

The clip in question, which is only about 30 seconds long, looks as if it might be part of a short trailer, similar to the "mid-season trailer" that dropped late on Sunday night. It teases the events of the well-publicized "Halloween episode" of WandaVision, which features series leads Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany dressed up in the Scarlet Witch and Vision's classic comic costumes. It could very well be a fake, albeit one that someone clearly put a lot of work into.
The big spoiler here is the sudden appearance of Evan Peters. It was announced last year that Peters, who played the role of Quicksilver in Fox's X-Men film franchise, was showing up in an unspecified capacity in WandaVision. That was a given from the start, and it's raised some eyebrows ever since. After all, in the MCU, Quicksilver has been dead since Avengers: Age of Ultron, where he was played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Tenet).
It's not immediately apparent what role Peters plays in WandaVision, even in the ostensibly leaked clip. He's shown telling Wanda that there's no way her husband could "die twice," and naturally, that gets Wanda to blast him, to the surprise of both her and her suddenly-preteen son Billy.
This could just be a casting gag, naturally. Quicksilver has a long history of being an utter douchebag, so this sort of thing is entirely on-brand for the comics, Ultimate, MCU, and Fox versions of the character. Still, there's nothing in the clip to indicate that Peters is specifically playing any version of Pietro Maximoff. In fact, it's possible that without this clip, the casting gag itself might have been low-key enough to count as another low-key shout-out, as WandaVision is famously packed fat with nods to the comics' continuity.
The clip also features a tense standoff between SWORD agents and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), as they argue about what to do with what's now apparently known as the "Westview anomaly." Monica argues here that if Wanda's the problem, she's also got to be the solution.
The next new episode of WandaVision is scheduled to air on February 6, exclusively on Disney Plus.
