One of Nintendo’s most iconic characters, HAL Laboratory’s Kirby, continues to transcend the confines of the video game universe by jumping across different entertainment categories. With the recent Premium Bandai announcement of a Kirby plushie with a USB warmer, another toy company, Takara Tomy Japan, has also unveiled that they will be launching an incredibly giant plush version of everyone’s favorite pink hero.
Kirby is not new to online fame. A constant in Nintendo’s all-star fighting game series, Kirby garnered the fans’ attention once again when they noticed what the hero looked like when it swallowed FF7’s antagonist, Sephiroth, in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. However, being the cute squishable character that it is, Nintendo has continued to capitalize on Kirby's looks by creating and selling a variety of Kirby plush merch.

Recently announced on the official website, Takara Tomy Japan has released photos of its latest addition to the Kirby Suya Suya Relax At Home plush collection. Pre-orders in Japan are currently open and will be live until the end of February 2021. The product is also slated to be delivered to its owners by June 2021.
With a maximum length of 80cm, the plush is the largest one to be added to the stuffed toy collection. The official post mentions that the stuffed toy is supposed to have a mochi-like fluffy feeling when hugged by its owner. So, for fans who have always been wondering just how fluffy Kirby is, even if the pink hero is arguably one of the most powerful characters around, this may be the closest experience that they can get.
Currently, the giant plush is only available for pre-order in Japan, much like most Kirby merchandise. However, the site does mention that it may be set for sale outside of the country. Fans will have to stay tuned on official channels to see if the company really will bring the toy outside of the Japanese market.
