Call of Duty: Warzone has been struggling lately under the weight of various bugs, complaints of game imbalance, and pro players leaving the game due to rampant cheating. Call of Duty: Warzone was considered one of the best multiplayer games of 2020, but now its fanbase is divided on what the future holds for the game. But one steady voice amidst the chaos has been FaZe Clan member NICKMERCS, a pro Call of Duty player who regularly uploads videos of powerful gun builds for his viewers to try out in Call of Duty: Warzone. Unfortunately, now even he has come under fire from Warzone players, with some claiming he is ruining Call of Duty: Warzone.
NICKMERCS is also known for being an incredibly good Fortnite player, but lately he has been focused on creating content related to Call of Duty: Warzone. He has created build videos for overpowered loadouts of the Mac-10, Bruen Mk9, and other guns in the game. Many players have used these max stat builds to try and improve their play in Call of Duty: Warzone, but many others are upset that too many players are using NICKMERCS' builds and creating an oversaturated meta of carbon copy builds.

NICKMERCS has responded to critics in a video uploaded to his YouTube channel. The first few minutes address his supposed overuse of the new "most broken gun right now" in Call of Duty: Warzone, the FFAR, as well as complaints from the community about his loadout videos.
Though NICKMERCS does admit that his videos can help "expedite the process of noobs getting better," he says he is not to blame for Call of Duty Warzone's current problems. "This is my job," he says. "It's up to the game developers to keep things fresh." He goes on to reinforce that the game developers are responsible for keeping certain aspects of Call of Duty: Warzone nerfed or buffed, and implores gamers to be patient until the next big update.
He also briefly addresses the Call of Duty: Warzone developers' latest promise to improve anti-cheat measures. He says it "might be a little unrealistic" to see Activision employ strong anti-cheat measures soon and would rather the developers release a new map or some in-game events instead.
It makes sense that NICKMERCS is skeptical of good anti-cheat measures, as he has been one of the Warzone pro players to quit tournaments due to cheating. Most recently, pro player Vikkstar quit the game outright due to the cheating issues. Though Activision has a "zero-tolerance policy" when it comes to cheaters, many players feel this hasn't been properly implemented and cheating issues in Call of Duty: Warzone are only getting worse. But no matter if Activision manages to address Warzone's issues sooner or later, NICKMERCS seems determined to continue to make informative content for the community.
