RetroMania Wrestling releases a new trailer that showcases some of the upcoming grappler's gameplay, wrestlers, and match types.

With only a few weeks to go until release, a new gameplay-focused trailer has been released by Retrosoft Studio for the developer's upcoming arcade-style fighter, RetroMania Wrestling.

The official sequel to the WrestleFest, the 1991 arcade hit, RetroMania will include 16 classic wrestlers across decades of wrestling history including Tommy Dreamer, Colt Cabana, and the Blue Meanie, among others. Retrosoft has also stated that post launch DLC could come if the game has a successful launch.

RetroMania Wrestling began as a love letter to the days of yore in wrestling games, with arcades being dominated by games like WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game, WWF Superstars, and WWF WrestleFest. While the unique genre has faded away due to the popularity of sim-style wrestling, Retrosoft Studio set out to bring things back to basics and hit every nostalgia button possible for fans of the old days.

RetroMania will include the much coveted classic story mode like the original game, where players will take on the role of Johnny Retro recovering from an injury. As Johnny, players will have to battle their way back to the championship and make decisions that will impact who they face and who will become friend or foe.

While RetroMania Wrestling will primarily be available digitally, hardcore fans can expect a physical release via Limited Run Games, though quantities will be of course be limited. RetroMania will also be one of the many games launching on the iiRcade Cabinet, a newly crowdfunded arcade machine.

RetroMania Wrestling launches February 26th on the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
