Fishing for Jade in Genshin Impact is a quest in Liyue’s Harbor that involves players swimming through the ocean to pick up pieces of the Jade Room.

Genshin Impact is a massive, open-world RPG with many side quests. While some are fairly easy to complete, a few of these quests are not intuitive to start or to finish. One of these is the Fishing for Jade side quest.

In order to unlock this quest, players have to complete the story for Genshin Impact's Ganyu, then they can speak to Kun to start it up. Kun is located in Liyue’s Harbor. After the collision between the Jade Chamber and That Which Lies in the Deep, the sea is cluttered with pieces of the Jade Chamber. Although most of the big pieces have been cleaned up, Kun is looking for help to clean up the bits that have been clogging the harbors.

Once players accept the cleanup quest from Kun, they will have orders to "Clear the flotsam from the north wharf 0/5" and "Clear the flotsam from the south wharf 0/5." The rewards for these two are a Bag of Mora and a Water-Logged Box. The Water-Logged Box can be used to get more rewards later on in the game.

In order to complete the Fishing for Jade quest, players will have to swim through the flotsam in the two wharfs, picking up pieces as they come across them in the water. The north and south locations are marked on the following map of Liyue’s Harbor. Players can also find Genshin Impact's Silk Flowers in Liyue's Harbor here, so they should keep an eye out for those as well.

The pieces of the Jade Room can be picked up by swimming close to them and pressing the Investigate button. This process can be sped up if using Mona, as she sprints in the water much faster than any other character. Once players collect five pieces of the Jade room from the northern wharf, travel to the southern wharf and do the same in the waters there. Players will need five pieces from each harbor to earn the full rewards and complete the quest.

In Genshin Impact, Baiwen is a secretary for Ningguang in the Jade Chamber. Inside the water-logged box will be some preserved documents from the Jade Room that Baiwen will find useful. For their trouble, the player will earn 300 EXP, five Adventure's Experience, and four Hero's Wit, along with the other mentioned rewards.

Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
