Cyberpunk 2077 fans have shared no shortage of unique designs for V, the game’s fully customizable protagonist. However, one design should be special to Mass Effect fans, as it shows Shepherd’s companion Jack in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.
First introduced in Mass Effect 2 and widely regarded as one of the best companions in the franchise, Jack is known for her intense personality and deadly playstyle. A shotgun-wielding biotic with a heartbreaking story worth exploring, her aggression toward some of Shepherd’s allies makes for great banter during combat and cutscenes. As such, seeing her interact with characters like Johnny Silverhand would be a blast, and players who see this art should be able to easily picture the meeting.

Much like Overwatch fans have placed Sombra in Cyberpunk 2077’s world, artist cshells_n7 has done the same with Jack. Previous work from the artist has shown other crossover between the Mass Effect and Cyberpunk 2077 universes, as well as art focused purely on recreating characters from each. However, this Jack art is particularly impressive, with the piece catching the eye of Jack voice actress Courtenay Taylor — with Taylor retweeting the special version of Jack.
Saying “imagine if Jack was in Cyberpunk,” along with the eyes emoji, Taylor clearly finds the possibility just as exciting as fans, as the edgy Mass Effect character would fit perfectly inside Night City. The design from cshells_n7 keeps much of Jack’s unique look intact, such as her sharp red eyes and plentiful tattoos. The only changes are her outfit and hairstyle, with the character’s hair being made similar to that of Cyberpunk 2077’s Judy Alvarez. Like Judy, Jack is a favorite of cosplayers, and it would be interesting to see someone bring this art piece to life one day.
This special fan piece comes at the perfect time, as yesterday’s massive drop of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition news has sparked excitement in Jack fans. It will not be long before players are meeting up with the character again, and with Jack’s romance ranking among the best in all of Mass Effect, a good number of fans should be spending plenty of time with the character. While players may only be able to imagine what Jack would be like in Cyberpunk 2077, being able to relive her original story is certainly still exciting.
With Mass Effect 4 bringing back Liara, it will be interesting to see if Jack makes a return as well. Surviving if players completed her loyalty mission in Mass Effect 3, it is certainly not out of the realm of possibility, and this art proves that many would like to see the character again outside of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
