Fans have been highly anticipating the mobile version of one of the most popular MOBAs around today in League of Legends: Wild Rift. While Wild Rift has some major differences from the PC version of League of Legends, all of the champions will eventually make their way to the mobile game. According to Riot, it is trying to include around half of its current champion roster for the mobile game's launch.
League of Legends: Wild Rift is built from the ground up for mobile devices, but still promises a classic League of Legends experience. Riot says that this version is perfect for shorter sessions since games should average between 15-20 minutes. With some streamlined game elements, Wild Rift is great for beginners to learn different champions.

Apple recently hosted a preview of the mobile game, although with a focus on its performance on Apple's iPhone 12s. During the preview, Riot is said to be planning to have about 70 playable champions when Wild Rift launches in North America in March. Currently, the champion roster is sitting at 47 champions, so Riot will need to add a decent chunk of its existing champion pool to the game by next month.
Riot recently included several Yordle champions into Wild Rift, but otherwise most of the existing roster is made of older, popular League of Legends champions. In fact, the only new champion added to Wild Rift from the last couple of years has been Seraphine, the Starry-Eyed Songstress. In the newest patch, Xayah and Rakan will be added to the game, and Riot has confirmed Rammus and Katarina are on their way as well.
Since the PC version of League of Legends has over 150 champions, there are dozens of candidates for who could get added to Wild Rift for its March release. With the huge Ruined King storyline driving League of Legends Season 11, it would make sense for champions such as Lucian, Senna, Thresh, and even Viego to join Wild Rift. Whatever the case, there will certainly be plenty of options to choose from that will entice gamers of all playstyles.
League of Legends: Wild Rift will release on mobile devices in the US in March 2021.
